Indeed.

Bush has been packing the courts with Scalias, in which case they wouldn't.

Sorry to cause so much flame over one state. I actually love Austin, and Dallas isin't too shabby either.

In my own defense, I merely posted this about Texas out of my own insecurities from hearing Dorothy/Toto bullshit comments my whole life.

I must admit, though, that the Texas GOP is completely f$cked up.

aren't Dorothy and Toto from Kansas?

I think we are all in agreement it is a dumb law and that the lady in question will most likely not be severely castrated by the law for her actions.

However

Where does the idea that objects "designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs"? is punishable, come from?

Is it purely a religious thing (I am ignorant about Texas as a whole and have no idea about its religious status or anything other than it is really easy to buy a gun there, and a lot of the Americans have them, and there are a bunch of south America and there too, please correct me if I'm wrong)

america has some old ordinances and laws that can still be used but arent really relevant anymore. they dont usually pay any attention to them. i think this lady will win her case. regardless, i feel bad for any of her potential customers who werent able to get their vibrators.

"Toto, I don't think we're in Missouri anymore."

If by your comment you are trying to stir up the Kansas-Missouri history feud, I will take exception to that.

John Brown's my hero.

I wasn't even aware of a feud. Why is Kansas city called Kansas city and not Missouri city anyway? Somebody's a dumbass and I'm trying to figure out whether it's the state or the city hehe.

Well, there is a Kansas City in Kansas as well, but not nearly as large / recognized.

childish comment # 1, you are a real nit-wit to think texans wear 10-gallon hats, and yeah ill have a 'psychotic day'... moron

indeed, but if you look into the states laws there are many outdates usually non-practiced laws that make absolutely no sense, this law is one of the more reasonable ones actually...

childish comment # 2, only proves your ignorance further

yeah probably, texas has harsh laws and law enforcment... you are tried as an adult at 17 in texas, that sucks ass, i was arrested 2 months after i turned 17 there for pot... oh well you live and you learn.

how old are most of you guys? the comments you made make you sound like a bunch of jaded ass 16 year olds. grow up??

http://www.lawguru.com/weird/

go there to see strange funny u.s. laws, though keep in mind they are not usually practiced now days. they just kinda, forgot or ignore them i suppose.

Just a small one. Actually, some still consider it if you look into the history feud between the two states. Here's a little piece on John Brown and my hometown, Lawrence:

John Brown History

More facts on John Brown

Also gives a little more flavor to the KU-MU BBall rivalry.

Geez, now you've stumped me. Maybe KC was first started in Kansas, but then expanded into Missouri? Hell if I know. Together it's a huge conglomerate city, but most of the time when people refer to KC they are talking about the Missouri side - that's where the majority of nightlife, major conventions, downtown, airport, and the pro sports teams (Chiefs/Royals) resides. When people refer to the Kansas side, they usually refer to counties/suburbs that make up the entire area (ex: Overland Park, Shawnee Mission, Wyandotte, etc.).

Okay, I'd better shift this back to Texas. Don't wanna piss Mosaic off anymore.

Agreed. I don't have anything against the state, just some of the bullshit laws. I never been out to Texas, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't go there.

As for getting called names, well, they just ASKED for me to post my STFU pic.

Posted by Danny Ocean on Jan-29-2004 20:54:

yeah it does have shitty laws
