America is just starting to get Trance

Compared to Europe, we are about 3-4 years behind them. At Armin, Crobar was nicely packed. Paul packed Spirit. I guarantee you will have trouble finding a place to dance when Tiesto plays Central Park.

IMO, you need to tie these big events with local talent like in multi-room venues if you want to promote the scene. Otherwise, regular peeps who go to a show don't see an association between a superstar dj and a local scene that is trying to grow and be appreciated.

yea.... its either, ur a trance DJ in the shitty/nonexistent rave scene, or ur a trance DJ as a hobby and go nowhere with it.

Thats a load of crap if I ever heard it. There are other countries where the EDM scene is vibrant and everywhere. HOWEVER, they don't listen to trance because they think it FUCKING SUCKS! lol.. Germany, Spain, England, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia (Moscow), and Portugal all have a big party scene. However, trance isn't really a part of the week to week acts getting booked, in some of those countries. I would say England still has a pretty good trance scene.

funny how, no matter if it's 3 years ago, now, or 3 years in the future, it seems like many people keep thinking the NY trance scene sucks.... is it ever gonna change for the better? people seem to be quite pessimistic much of the time.....

Mabie you guys should post problems with NYC Clubs because most of you miss Arc so make up your minds

Israel trance scene is HUGE. Almost Commercial.

owkee, edm maybe.. techno and electro a bit. but we are talking about the trance scene, and still only if it's commercial, maybe it only applies to belgium.. but a couple of months I mostly visit holland If I want a good party.

i say we gather up...lay out all our resources...see wat we got all in all....and take over a club...every1 here bitches about the club scene...the only people i see tryin to make a difference are the tfst guys...(i liked the music at the rainy bbq)and there are prob alot of behind the scene guys on these boards that deserve recognition too...im making a promise...when i have the assets...TA's will have thier own club! lolz...any1 wanna help?

here's the answer to your question... NYC Trance Scene SUCKS because IBIZA is where its at, you can never top that and plus they are so cool about everything over there, over here everything gets shut down cause of drugs n politics. thats y da trance scene sucks.

Dude thats an idea for real because I mean NYTA's only yak yak and don't take part in anything. But yeah some of you atleast try.
