-- Tiesto - Traffic (Montana Remix)

Thats what it says.
But then again, the guy in my local HMV told me Satellite was out on March 2nd (even the database did)
It will probably get put back.
Tiesto dropped this on NYE .. definitely more powerful than the original, wicked track
Heard this on Tiesto's set on Radio 1 yesterday. VERY VERY dissapointing. Montana has made some greaT stuff, but this isn't even worth a mention. He barely did anything to Traffic. He added some effects to a few percussive portions and thats it! The rest sounds exactly like Traffic.
What a load

a mediocre edit which doesn't really improve on exiting versions -- maybe if he works it into a full-fledged remix he can show his stuff, but right now it's merely average...

| Originally posted by Cobalt I've seen it on tracklists and slated for release on Magik Musik. Has anyone heard it? Is there anywhere where we can check it out? After Montana's remix of Hertz - Recreate, I'm very interested in this one. |

Its an edit not a remix. You don't change sounds in edits, just the order and ideas. All the sounds can be found in the original, Montana just put in in different order to make it more powerfull
DJ Tiesto - Traffic (DJ Montana 12" Edit)
its clearly stated as an edit.
and a pretty massive one too
i've been playing it a bit lately, and i really
like it. much more uplifting then original traffic,
however the problem with it is that its traffic,
and half the punters are already turned off to it
once you drop it that they dont seem to care that its
an awesome EDIT.
FUCKIN MONSTER!!! GZUS!

| Originally posted by beema I know it's an edit. That doesn't excuse its shittyness and complete lack of change. Edits should still do something with the track that sets it apart from the original. Trust me, I'm a huge fan of Montana, and I would jump on the chance to support one if his tunes. But this is a piece of crap. |
I just bought it from dancegrooves.com, you can listen to a sample from there.
Has anyone heard the montana remix of three crives carrera 2, its fucking sick,
definately much better than the original version... plus.. montana is one of my favourite techno producers/remixers... i remeber someone mentioning his mix of umek - gatex.. i also love that one
and i hope there's still some copies left of this beautiful picture disc:P
any word as to what is actually on the picture disc? The picture/s i mean.
even worse than the original
Re-Edit don't add much to the original.

A very effective edit I must say!
Heard it for the first time LIVE when Tiesto was in Melbourne for NYE and was quite an experience. Me and a friend immediately heard the familiar bassline and we both gave each other the "thumbs up".
Now spinning the original mix many times myself @ home, one would basically know the track from back to front - which was what we thought, BUT when Tiesto threw in it, we noticed subtle changes here and there and the "massively-sounding" edited first and second break - which totally blew us away - a sense of unpredictablity of a track you know so well was the "woah" factor for us - knowing the track but @ the same time not knowing where its going to lead you is quite exciting!
It seems that Chemical Records have already sold out
thats right!
i remember that track!
Tijs played it here in Puerto Rico!
his last visit
