please not home again. space would be perfect. No regular crowd so you lose a lot of the attitude problems, nice wide open dancefloor and a great sound system. it feels more like an event at space, not another club night.

there are reasons for this.....

Firstly GK was always going to be at SPACE, but the booked manning just incase Space was not going to be ready in time. But it was so it was moved to space. MUCH better venue than manning, that venue is absolutley shocking!!

Global sound was done by people from melbourne But yea homebush always sucks for sound.

Im betting on home or space. Could be home tho cause the rest of the line up is mainly house.

Just checked the Thirst site + there seems to be no info at all about what DJs are heading to Oz... Just the simple info that both those dates Thirst will be in Sydney...

Mmmmmm... Both Ferry + Tiesto are listed as DJs that are involved so we can only hope they both make it... (Tho I doubt they'd have both big names over at the same time?)

Anyone have any more info on this?

Have searched through Ferry's sites and only have tour dates to mid March 2004

Homebush :/

Here's hoping for decent sound and lighting, which I don't think we've ever gotten at a Homebush event (except Transmission of course)...

transmission @ homebush and decent sound? not at the two i went to.
tis probably a little early to ask which promoter will be running things locally. biggest factor is probably exactly which building they mean. Those tin sheds that TT use always reverberate like a drum skin. twould be very nice if they could use the sports halls (not state sports centre)

hmm I'd guess its gonna be pricey if its at Homebush

Maybe you went to the one where Nik Fish blew up the sound system

I've been to 3-4 Transmissions at Homebush and all of them have had excellent sound...

Tubby: Its BeatDivision doing sydney...

Also it wont be at the state soprts centre - ive been told that Transmission have a contract saying their the only ones aloud to put events on there!

And as for good sound at Homebush - has everybody forgotten Sasha??? Im told that was amongst the best sound ever heard in Sydney at ANY location!!!

Posted by tubby on Feb-25-2004 22:34:

not the state sports centres, i was hoping for the sports halls opposite the cauldron. sasha's sounds was nice, but it was outdoors so you didn't have the tin shed issues, and also daytime, so no residents complaints, even though I could hear the noise pretty clearly at home. Didn't that system also end up in space?
If it's a big promotion thing for heineken, I'd be guessing the dome. hopefully sponsors money means they won't need to skimp on production. one thing I hate about homebush tho is the 3am liquor licence. that 430 beer, when the stomach is empty, is a pre-requisite to lasting until dawn.
