not to bash anyone, but the way i see it is, if changing the name would get even just ONE more person to join us and become active in the community, it would be worth everyone's pride to do this.

And what's this territorial pride when all it comes down to is the love for the music?

Not only is Florida a huge place for electronic music (ultrafest, dizam!) but so is Georgia and a lot of other locations down in the south....

I'd say to make it a regional name...at liquified they have WEST COAST and EAST COAST....simple, and it works. This is not to say that this site should have two simple east/west categorizations, but nonetheless a regional name would provide a simpler means for memebers to post what is where without having to post in the "Florida" section....

cuz i know very damn well that I'm not in florida (although i'd like to be tee-hee)...but yeah...hopefully all goes well with this process.

I've been feeling this way ever since I registered and was told for GA events to go to the FLorida forum.. I'm like wtf? and just kind of let it slide until recently I noticed that NC, SC, TN, AL...all sorts of events are posted here, so while I don't really think my opinions carry any weight, considering the amount of official posting done in here by production companies and promoters for non-florida events, I figured now was a good a time as any to go for it

Scott was actually going to be my suggestion for one of the expanded admin slots if the vote actually passes

OK, so yea after reading... i think it should be FL/SouthEast ,

do you guys still have a problem with that>? most of the things discussed ARE Florida, plus I just like it in the name. Yes its a territorial thing to an extent im not gonna lie about that LOLLLLLLL , BUT..

I definitely think that adding *SouthEast* is a good idea, since we have non -fl southeast TA's on here and non-fl southeast events are posted, and its only fair to include.

funny this is just the name of a forum online LOL but still, i know how it is when it something you frequent alot and chat on.. haah, you actually give a shit,
but anyway.. the point I wanted to make was that it would just suck if people got all bitter over this..... better off to make it collective and have everyone agree on something. So what do you guys say about that?

I voted YES.

I am both a DC TA and a SC TA so I would love the southeast forum as opposed to the florida forum.
