OOoooookey..someone's high ... Just kidding

Trancepixie17: I never mixed Starbucks with anything either. It's too good to mess with the taste . Man, now I crave for Starbucks coffee sooo bad .

Hey! You registrated on my B-Day. Cool

At the risk of being hung drawn and quartered, I must say: I despise Starbuck's... [rant]sure they're good at making their minty-mocha-frappe-double-decaf-soya-mocha-cino's ... but that aint real coffee... it's flavoured bs. A true coffee lover will only order real, unflavoured coffee... ideally espresso, or at least a machiato or something.[/rant]

Well I guess at least it isn't as bad as Gloria Jeans (that stuff makes me wanna puke).

What are you talking about? They have great coffee!!! They do have nice frappechinos and stuff, however they make great coffee as well. The atmosphere in Starbucks is awesome!!! If I could I would live in there.

Just out of curiosity...What kind of coffee do you drink?

Posted by u4ea:[soulstar] on Feb-23-2004 01:45:

french vanilla mocha.. one cup of that wired me all day like a jumping jellybean.

i like baja rose, kahlua or/and amaretto for alcoholic mixes. Love ice wine. i can't stand beer and the aftertaste.

Posted by Mako on Feb-23-2004 02:19:

Use a bit of sambuca, mixed with a shot of espresso coffee.

I used to get duoble espressos, or a ristretto. Then I moved on to machiatos. These days I'm not as hardcore, so I usually order lattes or if I'm feeling especially wimpy I'll get an affogato (espresso, with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream ).
The reason I'm so against Starbucks is that there is really no need for them here. In the US I understand that before places like Starbucks, you couldn't get a real (I mean espresso-machine made) coffee at all in some places, only urn-made 7-eleven-quality crap. Here in Melbourne we've had a huge amount of fantastic independant little cafe's run by Italian migrants, so we've had great coffee for over half a century... some of those original cafe's are still around. These days you can't walk 10 metres here without running into an groovy little independant place that makes a decent coffee, and we've got some world-class baristas.
Now in terms of coffee, there are a few problems with Starbucks. Firstly, I tend to find thier coffee is over-roasted. Secondly I also doubt the freshness of their beans... which s not surprising given the huge size of the chain. They buy in bulk and have beans sitting around for very long periods of time before they get ground and turned into coffee. Thirdly, because of their size again, their staff is not very well trained. These aren't proffessional baristas who are paid because they have perfected the art, they're just a bunch of teenagers tryin to make some cash in a part time job - try to explain to them why they should pour their shots slower or wipe the portafilter. Again its not the worst coffee, its better than urn-coffee or the paint-stripper stuff some places try to pass off as an espresso, but where I live there's plenty of better places to drink coffee.

Intresting. I am so moving to where you live after I make my own law firm. I understand now why you wouldn't like Starbucks but since Starbucks is the best place here to get good coffee, I am sticking with my love for it. As I said before its not only about the coffee, I love the atmosphere inside Starbucks as well. Too bad they don't make affogatos though, sounds like a great thing to try.

Posted by MysticStardust on Feb-23-2004 03:29:

I think Starbucks is the best place to good coffee (at least in the area where I live) but the worst place is MCDONALDS hands down. Once I went out with my friends and we stoped at McDonalds to chill out. I didnt want to eat any of them saturated fatty stuff they have like hamburgers, so smart me decided to buy some coffee. I was throwing up for an hour in their fucked up washrooms( their washrooms have a story of their own). I learned my lesson and I hope no one will make the same mistake I did.

McDonalds= BAD coffee

I'm studying law, we should start a firm together, we'll model it on Ally McBeal except we'll call it AstroMystic and Partners, and we'll have to only cater to hippies.

I don't drink coffee cause it stunts you growth, and already short enough as it is.

Anywho on the subject of Starbucks I dispise it so I go to Peaberrys, don't know if these places are anywhere else. But they have these frozen drinks that are awesome!

BTW Mystic I like your new avatar.

if your gonna go to a chain (which are never gonna have the best of anything) its all about Pete's

as to bunnies. this summer we tried to get one with a sling shot and then cook it up and make rabbit stew
we weren't very sucsessful.

Aaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Thank you so much! I was indecisive about which one to use, the blue one or this one. But since you like this one, I'm going to stick with it for a while. I have this other one which would blow your pants off except that I can't use it because it's too big (file wise). Too bad

Sling shot eh? Try using an axe or those small axes First Nations people used for hunting, I forget what they're called . Then you can actually have a chance of killing one but then again its kind of bloody. To make things easier just use a gun or a rifle. I love hunting .

ahh can't use an axe too brutal. and besides its too hard to run after the thing and jump on it with an axe.
i don't think a gun would be too wise to use in a neighborhood
especially in the middle of the nite while we're drunk

I'd like to see the other one some time so, why don't you cut the file size down?
