Regardless of all the noobs and all the flame wars, this site is the greasest resource for Trance music. I'm sure like myself alot of old school TA's browse the forums. I don't post as much because almost every thread has been done before and it gets tiresome.

If I hadn't have switched from Trance.nu to here I don't know where I would be. I have learned so much about Trance and I owe it all to Swamper. He's done a great job keeping this site going and I would personally like to thank him

Totally, not to rip on t.nu but if you think it is bad on TA, trance.nu was like this 2 years ago. Of course this is just my perception, I have not been to t.nu in a long time. One thing I do miss from trance.nu was no one could yell at anyone else for not using the search.... because there was none! (now they have one )

The main reason I switched was because the layout of the forum was so bad. That and it was a pretty slow moving board.

Trance.nu is without a doubt the ugliest forum I have ever seen in my entire life. The plethora of stupid and restrictive rules don't help things either.

when new people sign up to TA, they must answer 100 questions about trance, some l33t addict makes them..and when they all answerd them some calculation must make up if he can join or not...and lazy ones wont answer it, so we get rid of those already....

for me, usually i just visit the board and dont post. a lot of the topics dont really interest me for some reason. also a lot of the posting on this board seems really childish to me, no offense or anything. ya, maybe i have grown out of this board, but it has really been a fun place. ill probably visit more often after my vacation from ta, hehe

It always surprises me how efficient this forum is. The members practically run it themselves. There's hardly ever any locked topics, spamming or trolls. I suppose that's the legacy of all you Custom guys, brutally whipping enthusiastic TiTs into cynical forum regulars.

Haha, we come down hard on TiTs...only the strongest survive. It's like the military, anybody can sign up but that doesn't guarantee that you'll be accepted.

Before you are accepted you must display that you know the difference in genres of EDM music and how to use the search button.

i think allt he oldies have grown up and got jobs. Opposite for me, my job gives me internet access so im here all the time now.

That's a good point, when I first joined it seemed to even be a friendlier, more helpful, and more in-depth forum. But even after the addition of thousands of new members, it still retains some or most of those values. With the general increase in population, there was an increase in people complaining, flaming, hating, etc.

But it still is the #1 source of electronic music (ie. Trance) on the internet.

The worst part about it is that it seems as if everyone (not only TiTs but everyone) needs to watch what they ask, needs to make sure they don't ask a question others might find as "simple" or "common-sense." I have to watch what I ask sometimes as well, anticipating the typical "OMG Are you stupid" or "WTF Do you know what a SEARCH button is" which is pretty sad and degrades these forums.
