It's exactly the way I followed.
But, for lvl 4, I never had and I have no friends who love trance.
I'm lvl 6b and 7.

i think im 6b-7. never really made comments about techno or trance going downstream. if i did, its more associated with my taste in music changing not the music itself changing.
I believe I'm in Stage 3 right now. Taking advice of the veterans, dling good tracks and paying more attention to the beats.
ive been stuck at 6a and 6b for a looong time.
hmm...good post....as a newb who has been rising up the ranks i can see these stages.
Im at level 4 except i dont think all my friends are following my lead. I hope i can bypass stage 5 because it looks really sad with people flaming others for liking so called 'cheese' trance/techno.
woohoo, let's classify each other by stages now instead of genres!
good going.
anyone who says they're in stage 7 is a hypocrite.
flame on
/back to winamp whoring.
How about Stage 1b:
Person drops a pill and goes to a rave and realizes how amazing music is...

6b here. Definitely not 7. God, I hope I don't get there. I like my discriminating taste in music.

Except i dont think Tiesto sucks. Tiesto and Paul oakenfold are my favorite DJs as they have had the most influence on me.
I'm at stage 7 and proud of it.I dont care what people say about what I listen to cause I think their music sucks anyway!
i skipped straight to ZEN
coz i dun give a fuck what people say about the music i listen too.
