well if you're talking about the jews, we actually do consider us to be the same people as 2000 years ago. we still share the same religion and language along with the heratige and traditions. although i may not be at all religious i am proud of my ethnicity/race and the fact that we have a long history.

Nice sermon, it's such a shame that it's utterly meaningless. I'm perfectly happy to be told that I'm wrong, but only when the other person has the evidence on their side. Since you do not (If you do, feel free to present it), your sermons have no effect on me whatsoever. It is you who refuses to see the light. Making a load of unsupported assertions doesn't give you the moral high ground.

Very good point. Non-extremist religion I believe can do some good. The principles that the church teachs can be a very good moral base for small children. I just think when it is taken as the only way and when logic is thrown out the window that it becomes dangerous.

well doesnt that depend on the person..the church,parents teach you about religion,how to use those teachings,think about them or applying is something you decide on.how extreme u go is dependant on the person.

The author of the article had a little involvement in the background of the interpretation of the film, and is Aurelio Professor of Scripture at Boston University. Pretty long, but worth a look:

Pffft. Minor technicalities. As long as it LOOKS real and conforms to the bible along with my vague, unsubstantiated perceptions of what happened 2000 years ago I'll believe it and be an advocate of the film. Man I hope Gibson's next film is a historical documentary about intelligent design. That would be great.
