what utter garbage!! these vocals are not only bad, but for some reason they actualy piss me off....very whinny they are. The original has the classic A&B sound in the background which has been heard plenty before, while the G&D version has a little more to offer thus softening the blow of the horrible vocals.

but hey, each to their own. I'll give it some more listening and maybe, just maybe my opinion will change a bit.

nice track, but I dont like the vocals for some reason tho, would be more happy about a dub-version of this track

There's a dub of the G&D remix actually, let's hope they release it. IMO, that's the best version of this track.

wooohooo, that's great news! thanks for the tip

Pretty simple track, but I think that's what makes it work as well as it does. Simple and subtle yet very effective, and nice vocals too, which is getting more and more rare in trance these days. A nice follow up to Far From In Love I'd say. Oh yea, the original wipes the floor with the insanely dull run of the mill G&D Mix, and whoever said Satellite is better needs to get their head checked.

Oh god... I am listening to the G&D remix for the first time.
Who recorded that dying dog?

Posted by Na0 on Jun-08-2004 11:49:

Talking

I deffo dont know what some of you are thinking on, the vocals mightnt be the best in the world but the g&d remix plops on the original (the vocals sound ALOT worse on the original aswell)]

its a case of 'quality' not 'quantity'

Posted by Bernd_Gradish on Jun-08-2004 13:58:

Listenin' agian to the mixes....
And still I dont know whats the fuzz about. In my opinion neither the original nor the g&d remix are good. Mostly because I dont like the vocals. They sound so hmm... as if.. my dog would howl?!
There is no feeling coming over when I listen to those tunes

Posted by sandstorm03 on Jun-08-2004 14:20:

the vocals sound best on the dub...

Hmm, this sounded a lot better on the EM than as a single for some reason

Original mix is poor poor poor imho now that I've heard it, G&D mix
kicks ass !!!

to say it's poor is a bit ignorant imo. It's blatently not poor at all, this tune wasn't cooked up in a few hours, they've spent weeks getting it perfect as they can. To say you don;t like it would be fairer, as it's more of an opinion.

i must say the original mix is growing on me... good stuff.

This is finally out on vinyl

avaliable @ chemical records

Posted by Na0 on Jun-08-2004 17:43:

im not saying guys didnt spend time on the original but the fact is its not 'original' i vote for the g&d cause it has a good vibe to it... its not ur dime a dozen trance (think about it)

Love Poundin' Sensation

G&D mix is simply beautiful. They always do good work with vocal tunes. The original didnt really impress me at all. I'm glad that it didnt sound like a typical A&B tune but it just didnt do it for me.

Posted by Syeker on Jun-08-2004 18:28:

What a crappy tune.

Posted by varun on Jun-12-2004 10:17:

Hmmm...this review has extremely varied opinions.....
Personally, I think the G&D remix tops the original.
Probably the reason for such varied opinions is that when one talks of Above and Beyond, expectations run so high that anything falling short of those expectations is met with extreme comments.
An average trancer...a&b could have done better
Original - 7/10
G&D - 8/10

The Gabriel and Dresden remix for this tune is by far the worst remix
job they have ever done. The original is pure bliss, however. Rea-
lly feeling it

A&B have really gone to shit lately. This tune goes absolutely nowhere. No decent melody (or hardly any melody at all), nonsense vocals and just plain bland production.

The Gabriel & Dresden mix doesn't save much either.

Terrible.

For other reason than being meaningless, cheesy and full of cliches? No reason, I guess...
