-- TA dinner: Suggestions

Personally I think March is a perfect example of what happens when you try too hard to please everyone and mandate variety over quality. Trendy crowd, long waits, high prices, mediocre food.
But, that's just my humble opinion and I haven't been there in a while, it may have changed. Just a wee warning to those who haven't been there before. The critics always seemed to like it though. Also this doesn't apply to all Mvenpick restaurants, just that one.
Yeah like charmscars and skipper suggested, I think we should go to a place which provides a good variety of dishes, so that everyone can have a choice and will be happy.
As for the date...well i think the friday after the one coming up would be good.
Well yeah let's consider price here, not everyone wants to pay an arm and a leg for a good dinner. So yeah here's two things to remember when suggesting:
1) price
2) amount of variety that caters to people's choices
whatever happened to bowling?
MANDARIN
noone should have a problem going there, and they give large group discounts i believe

TOTA DINNER-Just Pick One If You Havn't Already OR Add One
-------------
Jack Astors
Fregata
Amatto's Pizza
March
Mandarin
Famous Greek
That's the same night as steve lawler innit?
Hmmm oriental food, then tribal? Sounds good to me...
*edit: nevermind, lawler is on the 19th
for sake of nostalgia of the TOTA dinner meetup we had in 2002 (organized by moi, Az and Sarah aka waxen), why dont we just have it at Frankie Tomaatos??
decent buffet spread and only 17 bucks a head (mind out of the gutter please)
Personally, I still prefer Mandarin.

ffs, frankie tomatoes, is too bloody far, especially since most of us want to go see Steve Lawler, so going from downtown to markham is a mission. IMHO frankie tomatoes is not a good idea.
How about a TA Dinner here in Hamilton? We got just the perfect place for that to all those Chinese food TA addicts - Mandarin on Upper James. Nice place, nice food, good prices. Who is interested?
This thread is all over the place.
Can someone compile all the info in one post?
What date and what options we have to pick from. And it can't be Frankie Tomatoes.
Waaaaaaay too far.
