And perhaps you should stop laughing at people, and improve your own skills. I've heard selfmade PS2-tracks that rox the shite out of your latest ramblings on your website. So go easy on the smugness just because you've downloaded a high-end, l33t, euphoric, trancemania software like Floops.
You've just proved the old saying that its not about the tools/software.

Ouch!

Who the **** are you to knock other peoples music!? "Selfmade PS2 Tracks" are NOT Self-Made. Every god-damn thing on those tracks was made by a professional producer. Oh! and what's this?! You dont even have any tracks of your own! Don't knock other peoples music unless you have your own ***hole!

FYI - these progs arn't just PS2, theres also PC versions & they all have piano roll editors in, so yes it is possible to create your own original works - I never used any of the preset stuff onm the old version

Even if it does have a piano roll, a PSX based music generation game is hardly a great way to make music... MAYBE as a way to start.. but use it to get the basics.. then move onto better programs..

and seriously d00d.. DON'T judge other peoples music unless you're giving constructive critisism.. it's just not cool.. I've never said a track just "sux" and then end it there.. I always say WHY it sux and what the person can do to fix that..

What are you getting at?

Posted by CJConstable on Mar-10-2004 22:52:

i used to use all the music series..

music....music 2000....mtv mg 2...then i got music 3000 and i thought...oh dear...time for a change...so now i use everything from floops to cubase sx on the pc of course

Posted by mef on Mar-11-2004 09:10:

HA! This is one of the best threads of history! Ive never seen this Music3000 thingy, but it sounds to me like its a good start to go onto better things. I personally started producing by messin around with Techno Ejay 2 *hangs head in shame* , but when I aquired Reason and logic Platinum, I was able to build on what I knew and had learned about phrasing and structure which is good to learn with that program...

...

Yup, think thats about it
