I can't dance worth a shit to House so I just watch people battle usally, and with Trance or Hardcore it doesn't matter as much. But for Breaks/Jungle you have to have skillz.

Lots of people think dancing is gay, eh? Maybe that's why I enjoy it so much? heh. *shrug* I find less people like to dance these days. You have all the people standing around bobbing their heads, which is fine.

I have to be out on the dancefloor. I've been complemented on my dancing on several ocassions - I don't usually pay much attention though, I'm usually in my own little world. (for one reason or another..!) It's all about havin fun

And for all you people who think you can't dance but do anyway, dude, you guys rock. You are by far the most fun!

Dancing is a part of trance for me. I'm usually one of the only people dancing all night, i get off the dancefloor for some water and thats it. Been complimented a few times. Dancing enhances music. Never used to dance before I discovered trance. I was always too shy, but then after i saw everyone not caring at a coupla raves i went to I started dancing.

I completely agree, if the music doesn't force you to dance then I don't think you're into it enough.

I think a lot of people are afraid to go onto the floor because they see the diehards out there pulling insane moves, but they don't notice the rest of us are just out there grooving along and not worrying about anything other than the music and the way it's *making* us move.

I couldn't imagine being into Trance and not getting the insane urge to dance at times! And doubly so in a club, what, are you just there for the nice sound system and 5$ beers?

no alcohol .. No
yes alcohol .. Yes

simple isn't it ?

Posted by farley on Mar-06-2004 06:49:

I can dance...but the question isn't can you do it well...and that I don't know.
Aside from when I'm tired as fuck, I can't imagine not dancing in a club, as stated earlier it's part of the experience, going apeshit when the dj drops that magic track is all part of the fun. To me it's pointless to go out and just stand there, you might as well stay home and put on your headphones..

thing is, when you go to these trance nights, no ones looking at you, like if you go to a trendy bar/club, where they play 'current' music. Everyone's in their own little world too, I've recently found that i can 'dance to trance' when i'm completely sober, if the atmospheres right. Went to a night recently, and i was going all night, just because the music was great, and the atmosphere was generally very good. i had one drink at the beginning, then i was on red bull and water

No.

Other than two weeks ago at Armin in Chicago, I usually have to be thrown off the floor. In my opinion, I can dance just fine. I've picked up many a woman just by dancing, not even saying a word. I know it sounds arrogant, but I'm assuming if women are coming up to dance with me without my doing any talking, I must be doing something right, you know?

When the music is right, i just cant stand still I dont know if i can dance, but i have to dance

I dunno, I think you need to ask someone who has seen me dance. What are the criteria for being a "good" dancer when it comes to EDM anyway?
