when I was about 15, I worked in a pub as a glass collector, and I stole like 8 bottles of liquor twice a week, did that all the time, and afew times I managed to get crates of beer, nearly got a keg once aswell, in another job, I got fish, could of taken loads, but onl took some, they didn't care really, and the job I'm in now, I've taken afew batteries, CDRs and some food, but I'm finished, I can't be assed anymore.

old job - say you wanted a regular hamburger meal (will remain nameless for liability's sake) that cost $5.40.

cashier - regular meal? [pushes the 5 on the pad, while keeping eye contact with the custy]

custy - yes please.

cashier - fries or onion rings?

custy- fries. [cashier pushes the 4 on the pad, custy remains oblivious]

cashier - what kind of drink? [presses the '0' upon the customer's choice]

Cashier - that's $5.40, they give you a 10 , you press no-sale, give them $4.60 back in change, so now there is a $5.40 surplus in the till. Change the waste-list and say you dropped a hamburger on the ground and everything is covered. Made a lot of money doing this. But I am reformed, and refuse to ever work in fast food again.

Did the same thing, but only worked at a pizza place

it depends how bigger risk it is...
i mean if somethings been lying in a warehouse for ages and its not been stock taken, nobody knows about it and it would be easy for you to take, why not?

Took a 15p Milky Bar from work today. Rite rebel me.

When I used to work for Comet, this guy I worked with would get his mate to come in and buy for example a cheap CD. But he would also bring to the till something like a 300 DVD player. My mate would deactive the security tags on both items, charge him for just the CD, and then slip the DVD player in the bag without putting it thru the till. Made a fortune, and would just buy me loads of random stuff with it to. Result

I used to work in retail and my manager was one of my best friends. When we would close together he would say "Let's go shopping" and we would take off the sensors and shit and take what we wanted because they had no cameras. I probably made off with more than $4,000 in apparel.

I once came away with:
> handfull of paper clips
> some nice pens and pencils
> roll of magic scotch tape!

btw, gettin sofware @ work isnt stealing unless you don't return the original cd.
