I dont know how many of you know what your talking about...but must refrain from being rude.
Anyhow, last year including the BC burn Down incedent, there was roughly 5500 people there including staff.(500 staff) they expected 6-7000.
They opened a brand new stage. The Inasancdom -trance stage,BRiliant I say. Making that the 6th stage. aparently this year though its back to five as theyre not opening the jungle pit.
Krafty Kuts wont be making it but lorin bassnectar will.
7 or 8 years now theyve been going, now im from nelson and ive been three years in a row, last year was not the best. It will be bigger and better and maybe someday someone there will wake up and smell the coffe and bring a diversity of music in.
But according to the new age hippies living in the valley, international trance or techno djs (hard house too) would attract the wrong croud. which in turn would flood the land, and ruin it with oversaturation of people. Which to me is bullshite, cause everyone goes there to do the most amount of drugs they possibly can and try anything new that gets you high for 8 hours or longer, yes those hippies are no worse off than the candy kids in the city or are they the candy kids from the city? ( this is a generalizeation, no i dont mean all of you, i mean the ones selling acid with signs. and the guy with the mega phone " DONT DRINK THE GHB< THERE IS BAD GHB GOING AROUND" lol got a kick outa that.
Shambhala has brought the city to the forest.
It is very beatifull there. The only interior rainforest in the world belongs to the west Kootaneys. I suggest going to Ainsworth Hotsprings it has a horseshoe cave with super hot watter pouring through the limestone, absolutely phenomenol, and ride North americas, longest FREE ferry ride in balfour.
Shambhala isnt a trip or a place its a freakin vacation!! what do people do on vacations? spend money , hmmph i wanna goto wemf but cannot. I wouldnt compare the two. Especially no one will get kicked off the land as they Own it.
BTW they also make too much money . i dont get the ridiculus prices either but people all over north america travel and plan all year just to go.
Anyways i could go on but ill stop.

Motion Notion has been mainly psy-trance based (main stage was all psy from 11pm to 8am on saturday night last year!), while shambhala has been house and breaks.
This year expect some really huge things from Motion Notion.

I think I'll attend Motion Notion instead 
Plus I'll have a chance to see Edmonton. When is the full line up be posted for this? If you guys are bringing either one of these guys => Astral Projection, Guy Salama, or Astrix <= I'm 100% there. Right now I'm standing somewhere at 80%-90%

there is a trance stage, and I bet the people playing it will have soem talent.
but I dont think any huge or even semi huge intl stars will be playing it.
maybe some US jocks, but its mostly locals I think. I cant really find anything on the shambhala.cc site
I hear that shambhala is more about the environment than the actual music.
