Are there a lot of you out there (esp in N. America) who enjoy this crazy hard trance/hard house/hard whatever style?
so u wouldnt hit it.... skit skit skit

And anyway, why does the mention of a female DJ bring about a controversy over looks? Why wouldn't you assume that I'm talking about her talent? Female DJ=boobs=sex to you guys?
That's sad.
Look at the DJ Doboy thread for example. I didn't read one word about his looks.

there is no evidence it is true. One reason hot djs make it to the "big time" quicker is their hottness.

I am sure there are "ugly" girls out tehre that can spin just as well if not better. However, without looks, hardly anyone pays any attention to them.

Are you saying that Anne Savage would be an unknown DJ had she been born with a serious physical deformity?

women are judged differently.

I saw her just last night, was a pretty good show She looked so damn hot on the decks, too bad she's married =P Her mixing was great, her taste in tunes is pretty good too, I had to leave early cause I was feeling kind of sick though

Sorry I forgot to add that making babies doesnt count.

edit**

And you may disagree with me here, but I would actually like a solid argument that puts women on an equal footing with men.

the first two were jokes.

I am seriously curious to someone making a valid argument for women though. Id really like to hear it from a female perspective as well.

i agree. Great dj, i wouldnt say shes underrated or overrated in reference to the top 100 djs.

Theres too much emphasis on a female djs looks, when we are talking about djs.

that's such an ignorant statement. it isn't about anything other than taste. some people's taste matches pretty well with what individual djs spin. so if someone likes a certain style of music for example, like say anne savage's, then it doesn't matter if it is a female mind producing the mixes and song selections or a male mind. if you think this concept is false, then we know something about your perception of all women.

i hear she is good but doesn't he miss all of her gigs pretty much due to a drug problem?

Posted by torontotrance on Mar-15-2004 17:06:

you are thinking sandra collins, she missed a few gigs due to being so off her face, she could not tell her right from left.

Anne Savage is a known heavy drug user as well.

where shall I start

it's common knowledge, she does drugs...i mean she admitted it. Mixmag has made her in the top list of caners (they know what we don't obviously).
