Originally posted by muli depending on set time i probably won't play proggy at all, im looking forward to a techy set..... but im not sure on set times yet so it all depends. Only reason i play proggy stuff a lot is cause i get opening set a lot, i obviously can't bang it out from the start. One thing is, people in the trance scene think i play prog, people in the prog scene think i play trance. Can't i play both |
lol sid.
Dosn't mean i don't like prog, i love prog of course, just like both equally
Go Cam ... if anyone gets the chance to catch Mr Elemance live do so ....
One of the best Brisbane has to offer
Yep go Elemance! Represent!

Be there early for some warmup tastys!
cam the cmx-3000 is the one were they are joined together, like the ones they used to have at the dendy. They look hard to use
Hi Cam, I assume you are referring to sweetchilli's setup. The CDJ 1000s are not Suzie Q's. They have CDJ 100s. We will be using the CMX 3000 in the main room. It has some noteable improvements over the 100s mainly being in the following areas:
1) The jog dial of the CMX 3000 is not as sensitive as the CDJ100s. The cdj 100s have a very very sensitive jog dial when compared to pretty much all other cdj units from pioneer right through to AMDJ and dennons. The CMX 3000 that we will be using has a similar sensitivity to the CDJ 800 and CDJ 1000.
2) The CMX 3000 has wave form display which allows you to see where the break downs and build ups are similar to looking at the grooves on vinyl
3) The CMX 3000 also has a bpm display so if you have less than a couple of seconds or so to match you know where your at.
But the basic functions like setting cue points, scanning e.t.c. work exactly the same as any other pioneer CDJ.
