Anything by 2Pac is awesome....

Also i love hearing:

Dr Dre - Still Dre
Dr Dre feat. Eminem - Forget about Dre
Snoop Dogg - Snoop Dogg
DMX - Up In Here
Dr Dre - Next Episode
Craig David - Fill Me In
Nsync feat. Nelly - Girlfriend (Remix)
Wayne Wonder - No Letting Go

I probably named all of those songs incorrectly, but oh well, hip hop isn't really my thing.

P.S. All you hip-hop haters, go do your flaming somewhere else. The thread was not called "Why i hate hip hop". If you don't have anything to contribute, piss off.[

Dr Dre ft. Eminem - Forgot about dre
Run DMC - Walk This Way
2Pac - California Love

stop hating on rap... its another form, I know at least some of you just hate it because its popular and havent heard its effect on dancefloors in real clubs...and by meaning you "are there for the music" meaning some of you are those guys that just sit there and nod your head and obsess over that one unknown track in Mario Piu's set get out and dance you armchair TA's

i must say that i really HATE rap, and all its aspects.

Not my favourite hiphop tune, but at a party, Be Faithful by Crooklyn Clan and Fatman Scoop goes off

i agree. i recon there are at least one song from every genre of music ever that i love. from hard house, hip-hop, rap, clasical, pop

I totally agree. There is good (and bad) music of all genres. Dont limit yourself to just 1 type of music. I've seen Slayer (metal) in concert and I've seen Alan Jackson(country). They both have some great songs.

Posted by Lost Inhibition on Mar-17-2004 03:59:

hiphop is rather fun to dance too, much like house music. nothing like hot girls taking off their clothes to party music. stuff by lil kim or missy elliot (timbaland & magoo tracks) i would think would do the trick, especially if the club is outfitted with the right lights and a good soundsystem. the only crap i cant stand are these new rappers who are getting progressively younger (to the point where they cant even enter these so called "clubs" they go to with their "blingbling" to show off. fucking retarded i swear. ) and becoming stupider exponentially. lol i swear theyre voices are getting wikked annoying as well, i cant stand it, thus why i dont listen to the radio all that often anymore.

just because you like one type of music more than another doesnt mean everything else is rubbish. people should learn to adapt themselves to any sort of scenario w/ music whether it be a rave, a hippiefest, a trance club, a hip hop night, a moshpit, etc

Posted by ARNATINE on Mar-17-2004 04:11:

p diddy & kelis - let's get ill (deep dish vocal mix)

i really don`t remember the name of the track but is missy elliot feat eve...

Posted by BshidoHEAT on Mar-17-2004 04:30:

Notorious BIG - Juicy
DJ Format - We Know Something You Don't Know (check out the vid in my sig)

All this rap/hip hop hates gotta stop. There's really good Rap/Hip Hop out there, people here won't even try it out, which is really sad.

it sure is a good thing djRyan Jonathon isnt kicking around to see this thread......he doesnt take kindly to hip-hop.

Posted by everything0 on Mar-17-2004 06:27:

ehh...why not. need to break the routine now and then. don't really like it when i go out, but i'll jam to hip-hop every once in a while. heres a few of my classics

jurassic 5 - whats golden
wu-tang - mystery of chessboxing
tribe called quest - scenario
black sheep - the choice is yours
eric b - don't sweat the technique
mobb deep ft lil kim - quiet storm
pharcyde - passin me by

tel me do you like polka, opera, country music ?

For me rap is like opera

ive heard oprea songs that i like but then its hard to areciate opera if you are not at one. its not just the music but a theatrical performance.

country - shania twain <--- some of her songs are not that bad + i was brought up on a fair amount of country coz my grandad was a farmer.

polka im not even sure 100% what it is i always thought it was a dance.

like i said i may not like ALL of the diferant genres but i definately wont hate it all.

All of you people who say taht you hate hip hop are judging the genre
on the songs that you hear (ie popular, top 40 chart kind of songs)

Would you like people to judge the trance genre on Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, Sash etc??

"Oh that Ian Van DAhl song is soooo crap, all of the music sounds the same and it is soooo repetitive, trance sucks!!!"

Someone would probably say exactly that about trance.

If you listen to some QUALITY hip hop, perhaps some underground hip hop, then you would see that there is some quality out there,

P.S. The REAL hip hop, stuff from back in the early days, was not about bling bling, girls, drugs and guns. The songs usually portrayed a positive message, or at least dealt with innocent themes.
Listen to some Sugar Hill Gang, Run DMC or other early hip hop artists.

They were true pioneers in music, like it or not.

When I go to parties, I like to hear trance...that's why I'm a member of tranceaddict. There is no depth and emotion in hip-hop music, usually just hate.

You're a fucking idiot. Listen to Common, Gang Starr, Ice Cube's "Amerikkka's Most Wanted" album, PUBLIC ENEMY, The Roots, any real shit. The hip-hop that is violent is cause the places most MC's grew up in WERE violent. NWA does have songs about killing and stuff but that is because they were telling about their environment. Most violent raps are third person stories/metaphors.

Most trance nowadays has no depth or emotion, either, so whatever.
