I only half listen to the pope...i watch sport only 2 sundays a months (F1 races). The other 2 sundays are reserved for curing the saturday night hangover.

The pope can go ahead and make the catholics do it, but is he literally trying to tell people all over the world to stop watching sports on sunday and to worship a mythical figure made up thousands of years ago to explain things that couldn't be explained with mankinds crude science?
If so, then he shouldn't preach while he's high.

Assuming that everyone posting in a thread just happens to be a teenager is, well, pretty silly. I know for a fact that various people who've posted here (surprisingly 
) aren't actually teenagers.
Back to the topic though, imho the pope is wrong on this one. Firstly, shock horror, there are a lot of people who don't take their religion seriously, or (again, shock horror) don't have a religion, or don't believe in god. Fine, if you're a Christian and don't want to watch sports, then don't. But don't go interfering in the lives of people who don't follow your religion. Nobody is forcing devout religious people to watch or attend so-called 'secular events' on a Sunday, so why does he care?
sunday is for anything you want it to be. so fuck off
