Wine is definitely an acquired taste, just like beer.

There is a huge range of different wine out there, and there are tastes to suit all paletes.

Basically, you just have to keep trying lots of types of wine before you start to know what you like.

My favourite wine is Penfolds Grange
($500/bottle at least.....i wish!)

Everyone is the US seems to like this "Yellowtail" wine from the Australia, and yet i have never seen it in the bottle shop where i work. We have hundreds of wines (mostly Australian), and yet no Yellowtail.

yellowtail is everywhere here in the states, and at five bucks a bottle i can see why it can be popular. personnaly i hate the crap, i'm a little too much of a snob.

give me a huge red and i'm happy

I love red wine - white is icky...but I enjoy beer 2 - HELLO I AM CANADIAN....

Cheap sweet white wine is pretty much the only kind that I like.

But if I could choose for a different kind of alcohol, I would. Except if it would be one of the crappy American beers generally served in college-environments (Beast, Nattie Light, Coors, Keystone).

Smile Tongue

the buzz that you get from a couple glasses of Italian fruit wine can't be beat. But I do believe you either like it or you don't.
