You could even use 3 threads, one in here, one in tracklist forum and one in dj promotion forum with links in each of those threads to the other.
However that could be tedious with having to keep an eye on those 3 threads and for ppl to reply in the correct thread with what they want to say.

The best way to promote your show is to post here in MD simply because it has the most views, more ppl view this forum than any other (with the exception of COR).

I don't mind if you post links, tracklist's and bio's in this forum.
I know those of us on TranceAirWaves and tigerclaw for GDJB use this forum.

If we was going to totally strict on it, then it should apply to all of us including myself and tigerclaw where we would have to make 3 threads in 3 forums. too much hassle IMO.

You can always at a later date make a new thread in tracklistings forum and post in there maybe a weeks worth of stuff in one post with just the tracklistings.

Anyway, i'm leaveing this thread open so that TTA can have a chance to reply to you but please remember in the future that if you have a problem with a mod, u can either pm the mod involved or pm Swamper with a complaint.

Respect to Neo!
2001 returns... and no more problmes.

Considering how much effort it's taken the trancesphere crew to put Rising Stars together, i think it was a rather bad show for a tranceaddict admin to close the whole Rising Stars thread... particularly since the Trancesphere crew always actively promote the Tranceddict forums to their own shoutcast listeners and irc chatroom users!

I really don't see any legitimate reason for the 'cartel' mentality (for i may be wrong in identifying it as this, however this is what i percieve it to be); after all, we all have the same core objective, that of the furtherance of Trance music and the ability of sharing our passion for Trance with others.

I for one will be very interested to see how this disagreement pans out. I'm guessing that the Tranceaddict admins have the power to re-open the thread should they wish to do so, but i suppose that if they don't, forum users are just going to have to go elsewhere to find out the winner of Rising Stars tournament - so in that respect it'll be a bit of an own goal.

There should be at least a sticky or something about the rules of 'promoting', saying it's forbidden to post dj bios and such, how in hell would they know it's forbidden if it ain't written anywhere and nobody was ever warned for it? bit harsh

someone going to pm me.....you useless punks....making a mountain out of a molehill as usual.

you need to start a thread about this and not use pm? My gosh, what are you thinking?

I'm not kicking anyone's ass for this, I'm trying to keep the over the top promotion down to managable limit. But the thread starter had to make a mess with it and not use pm. Congrats...now you made me unhappy. I closed the thread (but forgot to put a total explanation on my part) (it was 2:25am) and I do apologize for that. I'm not apologizing for taking issue with the over the top promotion. Yes you worked hard for it but the tracklist forum is not a promotion forum, it's simply tracklists. I took issue with the over the top promotion when you posted every single dj bios there, that's over the top promotion and yes rules are coming soon (I Hope). I've done the same things with others and they did not cry about this, they accepted it and did not decide to use the MD forum as a outcry for their unhappiness. I've asked the following, use the tracklist, put the links to the streams but keep the promotion to the MD forum and the tracklists to the tracklist forum. 10 dj bios in the tracklist forum was over the top and since ts_crew never responds to my emails or any of you, I had to make an example, it was not pretty but I needed to make my point. I'm trying to get less crap in the forum, yes people do great jobs with internet radio but can we keep the forums to their purposes. NEXT TIME....use the fucking pm if you wish to talk to a mod....I tend to answer all my pm's...cept the people asking me for mp3's. I'm not bitching at ts_crew or the world....just the thread starter made a mountain out of a molehill and I would have done the same thing in his position. Can we move on?

and yes....the rules are coming...but I never made the rules because only 5% were doing that and I took care of that using pm. Just this time, the person went over the hill. My pm was over the hill I bet and I do apologize but why air dirty laundry.

A guideline thread about promotion is up

the people involved have been nicely pmed about this and we can move on and forget this happened.
