why do ppl think that a 6pack gets them girls.....it gets you the shallow girls who just want a trophy. I have no time for that, tho I am working on my abs but for my own happiness, to complete the transformation. I am in shape and healthy and happy and that is ALL THAT MATTERS!

I'm not bitter, I'm fed up with shallow people. I was 224 pounds and out of shape in Feb of 2002. No girl gave me the fucking time of day and now that I'm 171 pounds and in remarkable shape and training for a marathon, now those same girls that never gave me the time of day want to talk to me because I'm better looking now. I'm still the same TTA as in 2002, just 2 yrs older but nothing has changed except my outward appearance. So those shallow people can go to hell imo, now all about the 6 pack, I have had 4 friends get engaged in the last few months and NONE OF THEM had a six pack and all are marrying hotties (i'm happy for them). My problem is society's lameness at outward appearance and I'm still fed up with those girls (one really wants me and I told her to get lost).

elena just wants pics and if she is nice...i might find one or two just for her....lol.

moreover, you can't deny the fact that you ARE bitter, anyone would be if they had been in your position. aside from society's shallowness, manipulative media, yada yada yada, im sure that you wouldnt have given the time of day to any overweight girl either and probably wouldve cracked a joke on the side too.

I got overweight friends and I find they are nicer people than the hotties. I'm not great looking and I'm secure with that and I try to give the time of day to all people in the beginning (fat, thin or whatever). I was fat once, I understand all about society's problems with them. If a fat girl approaches me, I'm honesty more likely to talk to them then others (tho I rarely refuse a hottie as well). I enjoy talking to people (I've made great friends). I will always be fed up with society's view of people because I've been on both sides of equation.

I can honestly say that I don't like 6 packs. I really don't dig muscly dudes at all. I like guys who look natural, themselves, REAL. So all you gym monkeys can go to hell. Except Dave, cause he's my friend. Oh, and Andy too, cause it makes him feel good. But yeah, the rest of you...bleh.

Let's see here, I don't date people on first appearance and never will. Fat, Thin, don't make a difference to me but most ppl look at the better looking people first but I try not to judge people on their outward looks....been there done that.

so if you never had been overweight you would probably be part of the aforementioned society's shallowness too then? well it's great that you oversee physical appearances but you cant deduce the fact that overweight people tend to be nicer. and technically you arent part of the other side of the equation yet.

you dont neccessarily have to be a gym buff to have a six pack.
i dont dig those super ripped guys either, too unnatural.
as long as the kid can run without having his lungs collapse and be rather fit, relatively in shape, can touch his toes (flexibility usually being disregarded by lots of men) he's good to go.

I've seen it both and I don't care if you believe me or not. I've seen the shallowness because I was thin in my teens...fat later then thin again....if I had never been overweight, I'd still know about it. My best friend has had weight problems, his entire life, I've seen how people treat him and my father is fat as well. I'm just pointing out how I saw it and I do deduce that the fatter people have been nicer because that is what has happened to me. I did not think that people would agree with me, I'm not in your shoes and you are not in mine. I'm just pointing out the original post was that he thought since he looked good, he would get laid more often and I thought that was shallow.

1. pic of your midriff
2. pic of rob
3. tons of pics of james, specially when he does that evil grin of his right before he throws down some sick breaks or goes at it scratching.

definitely have to agree with the original poster's shallow intentiones. however niceness doesnt have a directly proportional relaionship with weight. a lot of times overweight friends of mine create this whole complex theory just so they can hide behind it (not implying that you did though) i totally agree with you about today's shallowness but sometimes i even cant stop myself from being sucked in at times, though i try to stop myself when i can. props to you if you can put all that aside and still manage to take a point of view from the outside.

TTA i think you got the right perspective on life. i'm really happy for you with the success that you've had losing your weight. i hate shallow people too. i've never really had any weight problems, but i've had women just date me cause of looks. people like that are really useless. i try to avoid them as much as possible...

Gym monkey = figure of speech. I guess I should have been less specific with my wording. I'm not interested in guys, actually, I'm not interested in anyone who puts most of their efforts into how they look. I understand maintaining a healthy weight, but to me anything more after that is just a waste of time. Your body doesn't go with you into the after life when you die, only your soul.
