it was good seein all of u again...i was all over, as were the rest of you... See u @ summerstage

ps Armin is DEFINATELY no where neer PVD

Posted by KidmoneyKrieg on Apr-10-2004 21:51:

DJ's name before Armin was S____ C____. Dunno, but he signed me card S.C.
BAH, my back is in so much friggin pain. I was on the left side by the stage, had a light blue shirt on saying Ibiza on one side, 69 on back. Was constantly jumping my ass off, so anyone to the left of the stage that was looking at Armin had to have seen me many times.

My back is also in one giant knot, but that had more to do with me dancing like a retard than just jumping.

Did Armin drop - Adam Sheridan Lektric?????

I thought I remembered hearing it, but it could be me superimposing songs onto the night as I often do

yea armin is NO WHERE near PVD's skills. i must be the only one that felt like the set was ehhh. i wasnt really feeling the set. the begining was kinda boring then it got better when he spun loops and things and 1998 also when he dropped floor control and velvet morning but overall i thought his set was unorganized and the mixing wasnt so great sorry to offend u armin lovers but thats how i feel. neways it was great seeing all the TA's dont wanna put names cause i know ill leave out alot so whoever i met or saw there it was nice seeing u and nice to meet the TA's i met

Song of the night: Binary Finary - 1998

Posted by akaufma2000 on Apr-10-2004 22:29:

Only bad song of the night: Armin's remix of Second Sun - Empire. PVD's is so much better

I remember that girl. She had on an Armin T-shirt too! She was yelling "We love you Armin" at Luke. That was so funny I had to join her. So I started yelling "Go Armin!"

Anyway, I didn't think Armin's set was that good. I thought there were too many filler tracks. I was hoping he would play more from his ASOT CD. He lacked direction. Honestly, I would have enjoyed it more if he would just pop in the 2 cd's of ASOT. Armin's set last year at Roxy was way better. After last night, I see Armin's got a long road to try and catch up to Tiesto, PvD, and Ferry. Don't get me wrong, I would still pay to see AvB again.

Best track of the night was Strange World. How sad is that!

Posted by hitokiri on Apr-10-2004 22:48:

well now i guess its time for me to do mine ... here we go... well lets be blunt.. maybe i should have gone to sander instead (least i wouldn t be broke)y i say this is 1. armins set was ok nothing to write home about 2. his tracks were pretty good but his arrangement sucked one min its fluff then hard too up an down imo 3. no real encores shit was shut down at 6 to the dot 4. another thing im tired of rude ass ppl especially the girls they are the worst a couple of times i got shoved an i look to expect to see some dood as the culprit but instead some lil ass girl wtf ffs sort it out im sorry to all the avb fans out there but i said it before an i ll say it again he is overrated

highlites of last night
1.was hearin him play floor control (al u know what im talkin bout ) loops an blah blah, introspection, an there was another one that pvd drops i can t remember it right now wtf was it oh well whatever, oh an binary finary

2. hangin out with u crazy mofoing tas hahahaha steve pleasure was all mine seein u on the tables that was classic hahahahaha no u ain t too old u still got a lil juice left in those ol bones

3. the dinner in chinatown aka the real ta meetup those that know knows its all bout the chicken

4.seein the Rev. Al Sharpton at Virgin who knew he was into trance BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

i mean don t get it twisted i had fun regardless of what goes on i make the party fun for myself but overall it was bout a 5/10

Agreed...Great time again at roxy tho, and good to me some more TA's-Thanks to Sandstorm for tryin so hard to get Armin to play "Remember". Dont get me wrong his mixing was perfect, but his track selection just didnt take me on a journey this time. Lookin forward to Summerstage also.

"You do know... you're Rev. Al Sharpton, right?" - Serge

Hahah...

I'm jealous of your cam pic, Jay. GIMME!

Posted by trunks1022 on Apr-10-2004 22:53:

so far this year...

ferry > avb > pvd in terms of my level of enjoyment. i had fun seeing all the TAs, sitting on that couch near the end. steven neil is a riot, jay i knew your lightskills were awesome but yesterday just impressed me more... al, liz, yan, AY, nemo, miss bliss, surge and lauren, BRIAN (where da f*ck were u the rest of the night), jon, xtina, SWsteve, alyssa, lee and others (sorry if i left u out). armin in july had me dancing for four hours straight... last night i found myself bobbing my head for much of the night.

+1 on strange world being one of the tracks of the night...

sorry, i posted this in other thread too... but these seemed to be the only pictures available of armin yesterday cuz roxy was really clamping down on people with cameras yesterday... *sigh*

Armin van Boring was alright when he played Black Hole records (Phantom Manor, Dream Machine etc.) and edgier stuff along that style such as Loops and Things Relooped and Lektrik. As a dj he's totally overrated though, he doesn't do anything interesting really. and as Steven Neil said, he hasn't progressed much if at all for the past 6 years.

still had a fun night. too bad i didn't recognize anyone, i was wearing a holland soccer shirt.

ps. Love Comes Again was surprisingly pretty fun live.
