asphyxiation is when u cut off your air supply...eg trying to hang yourself...thats what the d00d from INXS did...belt round neck tied to door handle...the idea is that you get aroused from the lack of oxygen to the brain...u dont intend to kill yourself obviously...but accidents do happen...i think this is what it is...
