Y000oooo wheres the rest of the pics from the night?!?

Fuck do I ever feel let down. I saw him at Avalon Boston the night before and I think he played the EXACT same CD there too. Started off with his mix of Elvis, then Secret Police Man, ended with Fight For Your Right...I knew something was up when I was holding up a sign that said 'Legacy' on it for the better part of an hour (I was right in front of him) and all he did was give me a "I can't play that look". Now I know why, thats fucking dissapointing, from a DJs perspective that is the absolutely lamest thing, believe me...It was still a fun night tho, but Live PA my ASS!

Smoking ..umm..something

funny thing is.....i saw him spin in Toronto, Canada on 4/8 and he played the exact same set. So i guess that kinda sucks...but hes still a great dj.

Best track - "Dont wake up Policeman"

Posted by Vlad on Apr-12-2004 23:40:

Well when you do a live PA like that, you usually know exactly what your gonna play beforehand. Back in August for Nu-NRG, they had a tracklist already written out beforehand and knew what they were gonna play. *Lee has the actual hand written tracklist from the night that he stole from Andrea and Guiseppie*

unfortunately, any writing on a flag can be construed as a sign of disrepect and vandalism, not 100% sure on that one.

Rachel and I were listening to that track in the hotel and were saying how sick it would be if Junkie droped it......INSAIN!!! It was great finally meeting you Highmay. Thanks for the ride to Avalon Joey....sorry you couldnt stick around all night. And last but not least.....it was great partying with vlad, Chris, Jon, Sal....and the rest of your crew.......Chris, your a nut man. Thanks for the pics.
peace,
vtec

No doubt bro. I was great meeting you, Rach and Vlad. Had a great time hanging out w/ all of you @ Junkie. We def. got to do this again sometime. No problem for the ride. I was going anyway, and I figured I would save you some money. Every little bit helps, especially because NYC is soooooooooo expensive.

i agree JXL is a great showman and his productions rock, but i personally was 100% disappointed to see he didnt do anything but press play ONCE and dance around. i saw him at dancevalley this summer and he the middle of his set was exactly the same (and he did the same schtick with the red pill blue pill thing).

i just dont like that he was pretending.

Photos de la noche con el Junkie XL

This was a really fun night. All the people that usually complain about Avalon were silenced. No bitchy door, space to dance, strong drinks, everything was A+.

Big props to JXL, he blew the roof off that old church

Here they are, well my favorites. The rest are available --> www.columbia.edu/~jtr2005

SUCH nostalgia connected with this weekend. This is going to have to last me through the end of the semester. With the exception of Way Out West spinning during finals week

Remember there are more pics on the website, I only linked some of them to this TA thread.

PS No one was cracked on anything cept red bull & vodka (on this night at least...) mwhahahhaha
