i like the new tiesto alot, dj wise at least. I will need to listen to his new album to judge him as a producer.
tiesto is still the man.
as for #1...no se....it's either gonna be him or Armin...
PvD possibly, but id rather it be armin if someone takes his place

Do u think he is worthy of the #1 dj spot this year, cause imo he isnt...not just yet. Nobody can argue that over 2002 he was simply amazing, but with his remix of BT - Force of Gravity, his production seems to be getting a little stale(Ferry Remix sounds 10x better!!!!!!). And wots this rumor im hearing over the past few years that Tiesto hasnt actually produced tracks like Traffic and Flight 643, rumor has it that some other dj's helped him produce it and Tiesto just takes the credit. I hope thats not true!! |
This is all a broken record and I'm getting sick of it...
1. Everyone expects every damn Tiesto production to be top-notch, stellar, etc. SORRY, it NEVER works that way. And that's for every artist in every genre. Once someone releases a couple not so great tracks in a row, they suddenly suck to you all. Give me a f'in break.
2. With his DJing, with 90% of you it goes with this timeline:
Last month: Tiesto is the shit! He is awesome!
This month: Tiesto sucks these days! He can't mix!
Next month: (After seeing Tiesto or hearing some recent mix of his) -- OMFG I DIE! Tiesto just played the best set ever. The energy was intense. Best night ever!!!
I wish everyone would just stop the bashing (and this goes with anyt DJ...OK, other than Oakey
)
If he wasn't the #1 DJ in the world, you all wouldn't be saying anything bad about him. Get over it.

If history teaches us anything it will be very likely that Tiesto will be supplanted by a new DJ in 2004 for the top spot considering no one has ever three-peated as DJ Mag #1 DJ. |

did u see me licking pvd's butt?
pvd has done more in 2004 than tiesto did in 2003 (tiesto = only 3 good sets in 2003)
lolol... maybe o' bir shoots and takes the crown

lol margaritas
ps - eleni is mine
will be interesting to see what happens this year, still a lot of time left
i would like to see pvd get it for once, but he hasn't done much recently
the last time i checked, tiesto was releaseing 2 cds this year
Hmm.... I much prefer PVD to Tiesto. Talking of style, interesting how little PVD has changed his style over the years, isn't it?

paul is amazing...his mix of trance/techno/house/breaks keeps him above tiesto. I miss the old tiesto that was straight tech trance ....
/me misses te 2000
and armin is way below both paul and tiesto
Personally I'm not a Tiesto fan, but the DJs I've seen recently that have been excellent mixers and also have done great sets have been:
Markus Schulz (cos he has his own sound)
Above & Beyond
PVD (always great)
Ferry
Ferry's change of style is about time and has saved him if you ask me, and I think above & beyond are the people who bring the uplifting sound up to date and can push the scene forward - pure class.
