Dear lord, the last thing Canada needs is to become MORE left-wing. This is hippie country, and we're already full of liberal airheads! We have no economy, no military, almost no education, I'm so often ashamed to say I live in this place. Basically, this is a country that wants to be a welfare state like Sweden but just doesn't have the right infrastructure or smart enough policy makers, and also has FAR too much corruption in government. We practically depend on the USA for our very survival and yet our government and our public seems taken with bashing the USA at every turn out of some ridiculous false sense of moral and intellectual superiority. That's what you get with leftist airheads in office and leftist airheads walking the streets.

I sincerely hope conservatives win. I know that a right-wing idiot is no better than a left-wing idiot, but a majority right would at least give some semblance of balance to a country already leaning heavily toward the left.

Umm YES. Education and healthcare systems are in ruins, and I think free healthcare is a VERY positive thing.

----to authorize gay thing and shit

If you are referring to gay marriage, than definately, it's long overdue.

quote:

----to destroy our economy???

And voting for the right isn't going to destroy our economy? I'm sorry, but I don't want to see the Canadian economy Walmartized like the USA has.

----to bring lot more people that we don't want here?

Why don't we want other people here. Look around, there's lots of fucking room.

VOTE HARPER

No. There is no India Day.

if not
you are just a communist...go live in CUba if you like communist

lol, I am a socialist. Learn the difference. IF you like the right wing so much, go live in the US.

Posted by Dmatrox on Apr-20-2004 22:24:

well it looks like paul martin is the popular one so far. I would probably choose him even though there are sponsorship scandals, because i dont particularly like canada to be more socialist than it is and i havent liked the PC as a federal government since brian mulroney and kim campbell. PC as provincial government is doing a fine job.

Why India day?

Q: Why would you not vote for the conservative party?
A: Because I don't want Canada to change into a USA mini Me.

Q: Which is the only country out of the G8 that had a budget surplus for the 2003 fiscal year?
A: Canada

Q: Why is Alberta the richest province in Canada?
A: Because the (conservative) provincial government recieves royalties (taxes) for each liter of natural gas and oil pumped out.

Q: Why is then the minimum wage in Alberta the lowest in Canada?
A: Because its (conservative) government regulates it.

Q: Why are the insurance rates in Alberta the highest in Canada?
A: Because the provincial (conservative) government DOES NOT regulate the insurance industry.

Q: Where is the conservative leader Steven Harper from?
A: He is from Calgary, Alberta.

Pfft, I think you're implying that Steven Harper would be like Ralph Klein, but how do we know he wouldn't be more like Mike from Canmore?

Posted by Dmatrox on Apr-23-2004 18:47:

ralph klein rules

Posted by Bronze on Apr-30-2004 16:59:

Posted by Dmatrox on May-06-2004 04:17:

Election should be around June 28 (rumored). Im probably gonna vote liberal. The auditor general has been doing a good job exposing problems and media has helped to let people know and put the heat on Paulie.
