Oh yeah! I have totally forgot about the live mix. Its also a great one. It has samples from Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name and Belinda Carlisle - Heaven Is A Place On Earth.

Yes. Orbital sampled the vocals of the 1991 classic Opus III - It's A Fine Day on Halcyon and Halcyon + On + On. They are sung by Kirsty Hawkshaw who also is the original vocalist of Opus III. But the melody isn't that much the same IMO.

brilliant tune.

See it's possible to like a track even if it's mainstream.

Posted by Fire999 on Apr-17-2004 07:41:

"Orbital's productions are way ahead of their time"

"Halcyon On + On is already a classic that will stand the test of time in Electronica"

What the fuck are you talking about. Halcyon +on +on is like the most not mainstream track that there is. 10/10 for me...

Hi, I've been busy trying to download every single version. I have

1. The Halcyon + On + On regular mix of 9:24 length
2. The prodigy remix of 11:09 length
3. The live version of 8:43 length
4. I have a fast version of 4:33 length from "Groove Soundtrack"

There has to be more versions out there! I will research more. If anybody wants to send me the versions they have my aim name is Dragonblades2000, have fun!

Talk to the heart,
And you're too late,
Darling you give love,
A bad name.

Hmm.. there is NO Prodigy remix, that one is the original Halcyon. And for the Live version, there's only a 7:43 long version released, never heard of a longer one. It might be some bootleg or something like that. These are the released ones as far as i know:

Halcyon (Edit) 3:46
Halcyon (Live) 7:43
Halcyon (Original) 11:09
Halcyon (Stephen L Freeman Remix for Hot Tracks) 6:15
Halcyon + On + On (aka album rework of Original) 9:24
Halcyon + On + On (re-edited version on Groove OST) 4:34
