I'd possibly be available for a meet-up - but, I'm planning on getting to Vision early, b/c my friend is the opening dj and I promised him that I would come and hear his set. So - depending on time etc. I might be able to make a meet-up.
PS - glad to see some of you on the inside chicago board

Thanks. Very funny. Har. Har. Har.

this should be fun
Right, stumbled across this thread and saw a few glaring things I'd like to clarify. First, the second track from Jody's WMC set is not Apollo. You will find that in a Sasha & Zabiela set from last fall, can't remember the exact name but it's not hard to find. Second, they have a new album coming out this summer, and it's not called "Melt". Melt is one of the singles on it, featuring vocalist Omi. It also happens to be later on in Jody's WMC set. The album comes out July 12th in the UK, US date TBA. The title is "Don't Look Now". That said, hope you have fun. I've caught a couple of Nick's gigs lately, including his set in Bristol @ Empathy, when he played some of the new tracks for the first time in mastered form, and he's been really good lately. And Jody should be quite good too, if his WMC set is any indication of how he's playing this year. You bastards are just lucky that you get a full treatment of the album's content.
Well, I'd say that about wraps up this thread. Yeesh. So, who's hungry?

PS: Check out his website; it's very interesting and thorough. I like it.

| Originally posted by lcid k, now i know which track is Apollo. do you have any idea what the 2nd track is from that set? i was waiting for Jody to ID it on another forum and he said that he forgot which one he played that night and that he hadn't downloaded the set yet. |
So how packed do think Way Out West will be @ Vision? I'd like to have an idea.
I'm guessing it won't be nearly as crowded as the big names (Tiesto, PvD, etc ..) but it should draw a fairly decent crowd IMO. People who are into the scene will recognize what Nick and Jody have done and take the chance to see them given the opportunity, which does not happen very often.
Hopefully it's a music-nerd crowd
Yeah, me too. I hope the crowd is like the crowd when James Holden spun - all about the music.

Ok kiddies.
I said I would post more about the idea for a meetup in a day or two and the day or two has passed.
I am definitely up for a get together beforehand, and I know several other people who I have talked to are as well.
So the way I figure it is this, we put up names of places, I think somewhere within walking distance of Vision is a good idea, and say how many we would show up with. We get the whole where will it be thing decided by say Thursday evening. Everyone gives a "definite" count of how many should show up. Then I will make a reservation on friday evening after I return home from work (say around 6 pm).
I am thinking that the meetup should be early, like 9ish so that those who want to go see the opener but still want to meetup beforehand can do so, and it would also allow the others who want to drink up at a slightly cheaper rate beforehand to also do so.
The one "catch" to this (due to the last 2 meetup fiascos in Feb.) is that anyone who says "yes I will be there" but does not show up and is seen at Vision will have to buy me 1 drink at the club. I made a reservation for 20 before AVB and only 2 TA's who said they were going to be there showed up. Princess did a similar thing before G&D and only a handfull showed up as well. I am not trying to sound like an ass....but I know she will agree with me that you really feel like an idiot making a reservation for a large party at a place on a Saturday night and then to have more than half no-show it is a real bummer.
Ok....my suggestion because it is both close and fairly large is Gino's East on Ohio.
And it will be MrS+0
