I have been to many big events i Europe and all of them have announce the timetable in advance. But charging more money for that... That's really shite!! (to use a scottish word). |

| Originally posted by chesco i can't remember. I went last year and i'm sure I had to buy the timetable. This is largely what the problem with clubbing in this country is, everybody is trying to get as much money out of the honest clubber as possible. it is pure shite i must say.. |
wtf! dude this is the coloursfest 2004 main arena timetable, no need to buy it:

Thank You very much!
I will to go the airport now!
See Ya in Scotland!!!
Paul van Dyk a fuqn no show because of a 'sore eye'
Comments?
van dyk didnt turn up??
ooohh!! that is pretty harsh. my little cousin went for his first proper clubbing experience, and vandyk is one of the djs he wanted to see. made a shit lineup even worse. who played instead?
Paul van dyk was apparently in for emergency surgery on his eye after an air conditioning unit fell on him.
tbh i'm quite glad I never spent the money on a ticket. Kevin saunderson was a no show as well
Bad job. Hope van Dyk is ok.
Way Out West is hardly "shit." No reviews then?
PVD might have been a no show, but Guy Ornadel played the best set of the night in his place!!
Way Out West weren't shit at all, a good live performance - Intensify was somewhere in the middle and they finished with Mindcircus, which most of the crowd seemed to recognise
Ornadel's set was great but i'd much rather have seen van Dyk on the night
This event for me was a huge disapoitment.
I have travelled all the way from Sweden to see it. Since we want to check out the city of Glaskow during the day - we decide so skip Ferry Corsten (because of his early perfomance) - which was a huge misstake. MIKE was ok and Nu-Nrg was good. But then when you were so exited to see PvD and he didn't show up everything turned for me to dissapoitment. Guy was very good as someone said but the disapoitment off no PvD made me feel like shite so i want home. If i only han knew that he would not play i woould have get there earlier to catch Ferry instead.
No, for me the festival var really shite - but the Scottish pepeole vere very nice though. And i also was able to catch both the magnificent football staduims Parkhead & Ibrox so it was still worth the trip from Sweden.
One other thing. The drinks...??? A vodka redbull containded 2cl of vodka?? or you could buy a small smirnoff ice. How do you manage to party on alcohol in a festival like that for so long time with such kind och "kinderdrinks"?? No wonder pepole use drugs a lot on those festivals.
I was also very disappointed when it became clear that van Dyk definately wasn't coming. I was hoping that he was just late, and when Ornadel dropped Adagio for Strings at 2:55am I was almost sure he was finishing up to let van Dyk come on for the last hour. but no!
Our spirit measures are absolute crap, someone should have told you that Dj P.A

The three main DJ's didn't show...... PVD, Danny Rampling & Kevin saunderson.
It's got to be said that last year was much better with PVD playing and Carl cox finishing off.
How mark sherry was DJing i don't know.
They should have had Paul Mendez playing or some1 new like william daniel.
It was a JOKE!!!!!!!
Hed kandi DJ's are a pile of rubbish!
The soma tent wasn't much better, although green velvet was superb.
scot mackey ....................... BEAT 106 NEED THEIR HEAD CHECKED!
Photos/Videos from Coloursfest
Just wanted to post a link to some of the photos/videos I took at Coloursfest this past weekend. There aren't very many but it will give you an idea of what it was like in Arena 1.

I did have a great time as I caught up with 2 of my Aussie 'mates but all three of us were really disappointed PVD didn't show up. Fair enough he had a bum eye and couldn't fly but the thing I found the most irratating is that at about 23:00, one of the MCs came on, asked everyone if they were having a good time and then proceded to tell us who was still to come that night.
And yes, he said PVD *WAS* coming. Now, I'm fairly sure that the promoters would have known by 23:00 if he was coming or not for a set that was supposed to happen at 02:00. The only thing I can guess is that they didn't want to announce it and have a bunch of people just leave early.
I will say this though... Coming on to replace PVD when it was obvious that loads of people were expecting him, I have to tip my hat to Guy Ornadel as I thought his set kicked ass. Nice and hard and I loved it when he dropped FM2 (Feelin' Me) by DJ Scot Project. I had only heard it on shitty steroes so to finally hear it really banging was unreal. Cheers Guy for a fantastic set.
OK, I've rambled on too much. Loved Anne Savage (how sexy is she) and NU-NRG (first time seeing them live) were also lovely. Way Out West were OK but the timing of their set was ALL wrong. You just don't slow things down like that after Anne Savage. No matter how good it is musically, it just kills the vibe...
Enough. My 2 cents worth...
Cheers,
S.
that is the strangest line-up i have ever seen.
that is all.
