Okay guys I just got a email from ticketmaster cause I suscribe to see what concerts etc etc are coming to town. Guess what I found? Tickets for DJ Tiesto in SA are being sold at http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0C0038AA91689F1E prices are either $15 or $50 for 21+ and $20 and $50 for 18+.

I dont know what the deal is with the $50 tickets. But imo they are probably not worth it. Does anyone know what the deal is with the $50 tickets are?

EDIT: OK it seems that if you click on the $50 option on ticketmaster. Those are for reserved seats at a table the $15 and $20 seats are GA.

my friend and i got the $50 tickets last year for Oakie but its not worth it. Anyone can sit at the tables, especially since most people buy the 15 bucks. IMO the 21+ is the best choice if you want to drink and go upstairs.

Posted by zenbudda on May-17-2004 17:32:

should i worry about tickets being sold out?

IF i go i'm definatley getting 21+ tix.

Are tickets only being sold on Ticketmaster? Hate paying those "extra fees"

Looks like H-Town crew will be invading San Antone afterall.
I guess ya should start fortifying the Alamo.

Tell me about it. I just bought GA tickets for Metallica in SA on Nov 20th and it cost about $174.00. Those service charges are ridiculous. Oh well it beats waiting in line like a sucker.

Tickets for Tiesto are only found on ticketmaster. It beats having to pay $25 (18+) and $20 (21+) at the door. Just go to any ticketmaster outlet in H-town. They should sell them there too. That way you wont have to pay an $8 online service fee or shipping.

Come on man The Black Album = teh win. I like all their albums up till Reload. I wasnt much of a fan of St. Anger. At least they still kick ass live.

All downstairs is going to be general admission, and all the upstairs seating with bigger tables and better veiw is going to be the ones for $50. Thats what the lady told me who I called up...Im gonna buy the $50 ones.

Its probably not worth it man but if thats what you want to do.

Posted by TAnt on May-21-2004 19:10:

lol...I cant anyways, I just read its for 21+, im only 19

Posted by Rememberence_ on May-21-2004 19:13:

Yeah I can see how upstairs would give you a better view. Last time I was there for George Acosta (that cokehead f*ck) he was way up on the stage, so even at the front/barrier you were pretty far away from him, and below him (the way he likes it, so he can do his Jesus stance). Still, I'd rather be closer to Tiesto than upstairs and far from him.

Posted by TAnt on May-21-2004 19:14:

Yeah true true, ah well, as long as im there, thats all that matters!

Posted by TAnt on May-22-2004 05:53:

Since I started this thread, why not also attend? Count me in

Posted by ABTsportsline on May-23-2004 19:24:

The Oakie event last year was conducted by RedLine Promotions.... i was "in bed" with one of the promoters and got all the hook ups - including meeting and getting photos with Oakie... (i think i ran into Racing4hoes there as well).

I was the only person there wearing a Tranceaddict shirt.

The event was very poorly run. The upstairs area was supposed to be VIP only, but the "guards" at the stairwells let anyone with a band up there (21+). I can't say how these new promoters will run the show, but i wouldn't pay 50 bucks for the VIP tickets when anyone will get up there. I think the 50 dollar tickets will get you a table on the balcony - a great view but not the only place to get a view.

the venue (Far West Rodeo) is one of the best for this kind of event, you can't fault that....

some pictures of the venue for those of you to see:

from the DJ stand (what you see in the top background is the VIP tables on the balcony):

for all you people from out of town, it is definitely worth it. From Houston, Austin, College Station.... Make the trip.

Good Luck

Yea, we met. It was a cool time, but the security sucked arse. I was able to chat with Oakey about his remix for a few as well as to D-fuse and Liquid Todd. Autographs from the 3 as well on the VIP badge. Good times that night, hope to have a similar experience for this event.
