60? Lol, I think 85%+ is more accurate. And no, it ain't only Norway, it's in all of Europe. Especially in countries with a high rate of anti-Jewish sentiments and/or large Arab population such as Spain, Italy, France.

fascinating discussion...I guess I should have been more clear and ruled out those who dislike Jews in general...but I meant amongst the "impartial" (although also ignorant) people out there, you're likely to find less sympathy with the Palestinian cause.

As I said in my initial post, I freely admit that I'm too ignorant of the entire situation to "side" with anyone...I was merely pointing out that for people who know nothing of the history, who are they going to think is worse? Isreal seems to put a better "spin" on their violence.

And the U.S. will NEVER cease to be involved...the Jewish population has much too loud and powerful a voice in the U.S. for that to happen

^^ i disagree completely, my parents lived and worked in Israel for a few years, and i have many Jewish friends, i have nothing against the jewish people in general. Sharon and his government are another story entirely.

Since i have become interested in politics in the last few years, and have watched many documentaries, read many articles, it's become very hard for me to understand why anyone would sympathise for the Israeli government.

note that Australian culture tends to always side with the underdog.
