Nice CD.

Walking on Clouds is insanly good, i can't get the tune out of my head.

Ive heard Love comes again before, but not the full version. Pretty good.

Adiago is just a remake of an old song (still good.. but ive heard it to many times).

Havn't really listened to the rest fully yet but damn is Walking on Clouds a gread tune.

well i finally bought this asap when it came out! before that i had listened to the mp3s a few times and thought it was decent. but as i got the actual album in my hands and in my player and played it more and more it began to hit me harder and harder! ie the album didn't open up to me instantly, but now i gotta say that this album is a fucking masterpiece! nothing revolutionary, but then again what is? everything doesn't have to be revolutionary! it's just a fucking great album that i enjoy a lot! not a single bad track there IMO! love comes again is maybe the worst, but i like that one too! too bad some of the tracks here are edited versions and the vinyl version has the longer mixes! i hope there will be the full versions on the 2cd release when it comes out and some good mixes also (i'm not talking about the asian release that's out already)!

What is the U.S release date?

Very disapointing album. The tracks sound poor," Forever today " is a pretty nice track but intends to be like " Magic Journey " imo." Loves Comes Again " and " Traffic " suck BIG time. I used to be a Tiesto fan myself, but he has become super-commercial.

Smiley DJ Just Be Tiesto

1. Forever Today

The intro is really nice! Sounds just like a classical tune, but then, ... what on earth happens!
The melody fades out and then this completely different sound comes in... I don't really like the sudden switch of sounds but the track turns out real great after a very long build-up to the main melody!
8/10

2. Love Comes Again (feat. BT)

I completely adore this one! I don't know why, because the bassline and the melody sounds like the samples in 'traffic' which I really dislike!
Good male vocals and a refreshing build-up!
7.5/10

3. Traffic

This is the weakest track IMO. I don't like it one bit!
I bet Tijs didn't take much time to create this pile up of sounds!
3/10

4. Sweet Misery

I had to listen this one a few times before I 'understood' this track. The ticking in the beginning makes you confused but then suddenly this distored kinda bassline comes in and the track really works out fine! Good vocals
Not the best track of this album, but I like it!
6.5/10

5. Nyana

I really like this one! Don't know why because it's not really something special or anything but I just fancy it as a simple-to-listen-trance track. One of those tracks that you can hear everytime of the day!
7.5/10

6. UR

I really don't like this one. Can't really dance at it and the overall build-up and vocals are real average!
5/10

7. Walking on Clouds (feat. Josh Gabriel)

I think this one is beauty! Good vocals, good samples and sounds but I would shorten it a little because it becomes quite boring after a while before the melody at the end comes in! That melody is only in the last 2.5 minutes of the track and I would've done that different if I were them
7.10

8. A Tear in The Open

It starts real well, I really like those vocals (formillar of Signum - Cura Me) The overall track is nothing special and doesn't really have a huge climax or anything!
6/10

9. Just Be

This is really my favourite, I just like the build-up good vocals + lyrics. The vocals really give the track something extra!
The build-up changes quite often, a sound comes in there and one ends again. Well done Tijs!
9/10

10. Adagio for Strings

Although this track is absolute cheese I do like it! It can't beat the Ferry Corsten Remix but it sure is dancefloor-approved!
8/10

Conclusion:

Good album but not the best I've heard! Tiesto can produce good tracks, and this album has some climaxes (Forever Today, Just Be and Adagio for Strings) but most of the tracks actually sound like his managers wanted him to make an album in a week! Some tracks could be much more if he spend more attention while making them That's my opinion ofcourse!

Confused

Interesting... Only one post even mentions "Sweet Misery", however I thought that was the best track on the album. The rest of the songs I felt were average to above average in quality. I think I would have liked "A Tear in the Open" more if the vocals hadn't already been used to perfection by Pole Folder & CP.

I'm getting scared here... are there any tracks on that album that DON'T have vocals, except traffic?

Forever Today, Traffic, Nyana, and Adagio for Strings.

Mine's on order from the UK, so I'll review it when I get it here in the States. Did you know that total, it's only $13USD, whereas if I wanted to buy it here, I'd have to wait a couple weeks to pay $20 to get it from an RIAA-affiliated label?

Posted by i-cue on May-25-2004 22:45:

forever today - intro is too long but once it gets moving track is pretty good crazy synths

love comes again - nothing new here boring track i wish BT would stop singing

traffic - again nothing new and i hate this track i dont get whats so good about it

sweet mysery - ah seems like alot of people dont like this but its one of my favs nice mellow beat nice vocals

nyana - decent track but also already heard this before the album was out

ur - cant stand maybe its the guy vocals i dont really dig most guy vocals on songs cuz they suck *cough* BT

walking on clouds - imo best song on the album love the vocals and beat

a tear in the open - this song could of been good if they ripped the damn annoying moaning whining vocals or whatever tf it is hopefully a dub sometime maybe ?

just be - almost as good as walking on clouds again nice vocals nice beat but thought the breakdown was annoying and it gets a lil boring
after a while

adagio for strings - good effort nothing really bad to say about this but nothing really good either cuz i think the ferry corsten mix blows this away

overall i'd give the album a 5/10 only couple tracks i really like some of these were old and the rest blows just my opinion i'll probably get flamed by tiesto worshippers but whatever

Posted by stevebutabi on May-26-2004 03:46:

is there a vinyl sampler being released?

if do, does it have adagio on it?

Posted by torontotrance on May-26-2004 03:54:

someone get sean cusick to review this....

Posted by rounder19 on May-26-2004 06:10:

sweet mysery is my fav track on this album

Posted by DjSimonB on May-26-2004 16:44:

Sweet Misery is pretty good.

I really like UR, I know some people think it's too slow and boring but I really like it. Is that Matt Hales singing?

I heard a lot of people say Tear in the Open was really good, so that was the first one I listened to... gotta say I was disappointed. OK tune, but I've heard much better. Signum worked that vocal better in Cura Me.

Walking on Clouds is good, but it's probably Josh Gabriel that made it good, not Tiesto, because Kirsty's other track, Just Be, is shite.

Nyana's an OK tune, nothing groundbreaking but it's catchy and the production is nice.

The rest sucks.

wasn't there a "love comes again" trance track by human movement a few years back?!?Now that was good. In contrast to the current one...
