For the OP have you heard stuff like Cafe del Mar Chillhouse? Chillhouse 2 in particular has a great wind down feeling to it without sounding empty like a lot of chill does. Another good album to consider is Chilled Out Euphoria

For me its got to be Cafe del Mar. Bought 19 CDs and still rising!
