LMFAO, get you.

yes obviously i make myself look cool by finding a live PA shit, its a great way to increase your social status you know?

your obviously connectd in some way to bonzai or l-vee and are taking it to personally, lighten up. cheesy antics might pull in the pikeys at gk but it doesnt mean everyone has to like them.

I have all on vinyl except Ladies & Gentlemen... Is It as good as the others???

Hmmm I dont like it as much as L-Vee's other Green Martian tracks but it's still ok. He also played a track that I don't know the name of and have never heard before.

Airwave - Good, why he doesnt get more gigs than the likes of Mike is beyond me, far better dj imo and at least he turns up.

B2B - Dunno didnt really hear it, walked around the club looking lost

Live PA - Sound issues.. though it could have gone alot worse considering it was their first time. Live performances without monitors on the middle of a dancefloor.. not easy. As for the whole not live thing, well, I'm not sure what you guys would expect? If you want them to bring along a whole band with a drummer and stuff then fair enough, but it aint ever gonna work at a club like gods. The melodies were played live (oxygen 8 keyboard hooked up to a powerbook) and the ms2000 was there to do some wierd lfo sweeps. If you honestly thought those drum sounds were coming from the laptop rather than the drum, erm, you need your ears checked, chief, because the timing was all over the place, as live drumming is. I think the other guy there was playing the bass but i'm not certain on that tbh. Basically, I dont know how that could be alot more live really? perhaps using loops and stuff, he could have used software like ableton live to make the basis of the track and done some editing with it but at the end of the day it would have been less hands on if anything, plus theres only a certain amount you can humanly do. Oh and as for the miming, that wasnt miming, that was done live, erm, see the start.
Push live on the other hand.. perfect drum timing and sounds like a DJ set of the tunes put together? well you can work out for yourselves

As for yves i had to go home, I'd done too much ket after getting a bit too into the tidy boys.

Posted by [N]k|[Z] on May-09-2004 17:14:

... also, anyone remember what that bottleg was that ydr dropped? cant remember for the life of me what it was

Posted by Coup on May-09-2004 20:19:

ydr dropped a mix of underworld born slippy and a mix of coldplay clocks.

Posted by Ste on May-09-2004 21:15:

after watching the PA on the video i see it wasnt as much of a joke as push live, not much MCing and actual playing of the tunes. however i still dont see what the score was with that drum guy!!!

Yikes, hes really that bad? Ive seen him once, and have a few live sets of his. The time I saw him, he wasnt brilliant. His mixing was fine, but the tunes werent spectacular, I simply put that down the fact he was doing the warmup instead of peak time. One of the sets I have is quite good, the others being not too bad if my memory serves.

This recent number of reported crapness / no shows is a distressing trend. And, I guess that it also teaches you not to judge a DJ solely by the recorded sets you have like Ive done!

From what Ive heard, Im glad I didnt make it there in the end.

I had a good night, the "live" act was a bit of a joke but the tunes played were quality, could of dun without L-Vee shouting over them tho in that alien type voice thing, well distorted!

First time seein airwave and did really enjoy his tunes, and O bir played one solid wave which i enjoyed alot

Nice meetin some of u guys, to be honest I didnt really have a clue what was goin on so wasnt very talkative !

YD played some good tunes, could of done without bac 2 earth tho,and the last tune bein a bootleg of love comes again with tomcraft - loneliness vocals

All in all good night tho, going again for picotto meganight and then Marco 6 hour
