I agree. Wow i've heard lady on the radio many times but didn't know the artist until about 3 minutes ago. I like both of those originals as well as the tenaglia remix of lady.

They have moved over to doing tribal/progressive nowadays. David Westerlund (1/2 of the group) has collaborated with Mattias Lindblom from Inkfish on Synergy - Hello Strings, Armin plays that nowadays. Other than that I've seen some unreleased material from them floating around, (Antiloop & Inkfish - Aftermath) but their latest outing is probably Aircrash Bureau - Don't Expect Me (To Forget You) (Antiloop Remix), which kicks ass big time.

By the way, I add some artists to the disappeared:

Barthezz, Future Breeze (I know, cheese), Tillman Uhrmacher, Taucher, Ayla.

All of these are still around. And for those who flame some of these artists;

Future Breeze has written at least a few remixes and tracks that are ok. think some is on alphabet city. Think they still write a remix once in a while on lower profile german labels.

Tillmann & Uhrmacher ain't that bad at all. At the time they wrote stuff like bassfly, practically all the trance being released was twice as cheesy. I think they're ok. As oppose to sticking with the cheesier sound these guys has had huge success with On the run, that didn't sound anything near as cheesy as their earlier works.
Personally, I will always love "Free" and "Bassfly". A neverending 1999 love affair i suppose.

Taucher is still around too. Heh, I still blow the dust off tracks/remixes like Marco Sosa - The Wave (Taucher Remix). Though he's been ridiculed alot I still think he deserves a bit of respect. Been around a long time and definitely contributed to trance during the late 90s.

About all the guys mentioned you really need to either live in Germany or be interested in the german scene/german labels to see what's happening. The german trance circuit isn't exactly as globalistic and visible as the Dutch/UK one.

Regarding Veracocha, I really think it is the best project Ferry Corsten has ever been involved in. Carte Blanche matched and conquered whatever was left to explore in the epic 99 trance era.

I also think it ressurected the idea of creating trance that was a little more mature than the average clubtrance sound of the day. Take a look at how trance evolved the next few years.

Would really like to know why Ferry gave Vincent the boot. Though most people probably disagree I think VDM has more skill and better taste. Does VDM have a website?!

Hey Chem, good to have ya on board

Taucher plays and makes nothing but prog nowadays, and sadly that's miles away from how good he was back in the 90s with Torsten Stenzel.

Tillmann Uhrmacher is just one guy and he still has his legendary radioshow RPR Maximal going + DJs in Germany. His Mayday set was hideous in terms of mixing though, hope that wasn't representative for how he usually plays.

Heya Sand Leaper!

Yeah, my bad, Tillmann Uhrmacher is one guy, but 'Tillmann Uhrmacher' was for some time Tillmann Uhrmacher and Peter Ries.

Don't know whether the records are still being co-produced by the two.

Got Bassfly and Free on vinyl somewhere, but the Fog Area piles are too damn big to go through

WTF is happening with FOG Area these days? oO
