Private clubs in the area continue to allow smoking. For a while, the bars at the University of Guleph allowed smoking in them as membership was part of tuition.

Worm Popper

So what's to stop a club from going 'private'?

This could be the solution to the problem. Until they ban that too..

Communism i tell you

I'd say nothing other than the licencing and getting people to buy a membership.

City hall should stay out of controlling how business operate.

If a restaurant wants people to smoke inside - they should have every right to do so.

Until smoking as a whole becomes illegal these type of actions make me irrate.

Making tobacco illegal would be stupid too. It's just what the bikers and dons in woodbridge would love to see happen.

Nobody can ever control what people do. If they want to do it they will. Look at the failure of drug prohibition as a good example. They are illegal and punishable by jail yet many people still do them and they are a huge business.

the only good thing from this could be for the none smokers not complaining about smelling like smoke coming out of clubs.

for once i agree with the capitalist!!

oh and by the way, they tried to ban smoking in NYC, and from what i've heard, they may tell you to put it out, but most places they don't care. they just can't control it.

so looks like you whiny non smokers will still be breathing in 2nd hand smoke for some time to come.

if they don't enforce it you can be sure i'll be lighting up too.

me and my pack of cigarettes will see you all at lawler
