yea its quite sad
They are true producers.
But today tendancy is if you are a producer you have to be DJ aswell.
Or if you're a DJ you have to be a producer.
In the old days it wasn't like that, you could be either, and since they're from the old days, they didn't quite adapt.
may i say my opinion please?whats the reason to fight each other who is good and who isnt?whats the reason to start shooting the other if he like armin or ferry or something different?i thought we had something in common witch basicly is music!!something that most people forgot about it!
next time, i dont think we need your opinion...

i think people are also neglecting the massive increase of p2p and file-sharing. people are now listening to ASOT all the time. he plays his best tunes on ASOT - he cant play shit tunes coz no one would listen, and when it comes to doing a set he cant play shit tunes so he plays the same tunes that he plays on ASOT.
now because everyone has heard those tunes 1000x times it gets boring - i remember the first time i heard firewall - sincere was at the PvD 6hr at crasher last may and i thought it was one of the best tunes of the night, now i think its cheesy and poorly produced.
everyone knows what everyone else if playing so of course its going to be impossible to be original. though i do agree there is a distinct lack of effort that seems to be made in sets these days.
armin is also the only DJ who i find it easy to ID tracks. Last time I saw him in liverpool i IDd half his tracks, and im shit at id-ing...
I think if we start discussing the eternal issue of p2p and file-sharing we'll never end this
Suffice to say trance without internet today would be much different.

. I listen to fritz, and enjoy it weekly, even though paul plays about 2-3 good trance tracks a week, then the rest is techno/prog/house/douwnbeat stuff, and i enjoy it more then asot.
