Even if this was in a nasty place like comfort zone.. i would still go..

We are lucky to have this much talent come through to our city.

Worm Popper

All of the Tiesto hype is making me want to go to both nights, but one of them will be less 'energetic' than the other.

Posted by Pett on May-13-2004 19:03:

Trance , Techno ,phazon and lazers
if you dont like these kinda things stay home and
STFU!

What stops them from making it 15 bucks cover and having this party in Kool House????

because they're COCKSUCKERS.

I like guv 10 times more than Kool Haus cause of the lasers. The lasers are crazy, get you so pumped up. I just wish you could see the dj in Guv like you can in Kool Haus. Kool haus lighting blows. And I don't mind how packed it is, you can always find room (even at Corsten). Besides I love the atmosphere in a rammed club.

Yeah serious.... stop complaining, we will be in guv on a weeknight, therefor it will only be true hardcore fans, thus making for a great party.

The lighting at Kool Haus is configurable. It is only limited by the imagination of the decorator and by money that Charles allocates for that. I've been at Kool Haus when the lighting was incredible(remember the last time Tiesto played there?? Lighting and the whole set-up was mind blowing) and I've also been there when it wasn't all that..

could you be more naive? The place will be absolutely rammed.

Posted by samhouse on May-13-2004 21:50:

rammed with people there to have a good time...not rammed with people there cuz its a normal night....theres a major difference....docks was rammed..but shit as its been said many many times...what a night that was.

and ya kool haus can have some KICK ass lighting..depending how they do it...pvd in october was an incredible lighting setup.

ahhahahahaha so true...add sardines to that list...if you dont like this most delightful fish in a can....stay home as well..crazy trance loving sardines...someone should do a short movie on trance loving sardines.

I'm very excited

Just got my tickets for both Tiesto and PVD...WOHOO!!!

Next step ---> Designing a new T-Shirt for Tiesto!

KarateKid

don't like it ? don't go !

btw. i'm not supporting overcrowding at any sort of event, just that complaining about it especially here has proven to be fruitless time and time again .. remember all that talk about bringing in the fire marshalls, etc.. what ever happened to all that .. ?

Posted by Skipper on May-13-2004 22:05:

I sort of want to go just to see how packed it is.

Really I don't think it's going to be insane as everyone thinks, especially after 2am.

Posted by starsearcher on May-13-2004 22:30:

Usually the parties during the week don't go all night. I don't really remember how long the Tiesto party at the Docks went untill last year but I think he was off the decks around 4am no?

Mmmmm....Lasers. I forgot about them. YEAH! Now I am even looking more forward to this party.

Think about the positive things about the night and don't focus on the negative. The experience is about what you make it, and if you focus on the negative it's going to be a bad night. Focus on the DJ/Music and friends and that's what will make the night. I don't care much for crowds but Tiesto only comes once a year!

Party on!!!!!

Last time I saw PvD on a WEDNESDAY in the Guv Mainroom and they put on him on the stage. It ended at 5:30 or so. It was WICKED and I'd love to go to this but I'll be in the Uk instead.

Posted by Funkyfun on May-13-2004 23:52:

Lets try to look on the +ve side..surely KH would have been the best place to host both these and any upcoming special events and not doing so defies logic..But if it is to be the Guvernment main room it will be. As much as i did'nt enjoy the overcrowding on Ferry nite I might not have the best time if it gets 2 crowded again. But thats how it is regardless of anything. So why not try to have fun and enjoy the moment.
The best part is that Guv management is inviting the very best this summer just like one of the promoters had already mentioned that Guv this summer will be sompthing like ibiza...And for that 2 thumbs up to them

my 2 cents

Posted by Enraptured on May-14-2004 01:33:

PVD was in the Kool Haus last time he was in town, no? H... this one's a head scratcher...

It's too bad there's no one representing the club to pop in here and give a reason for the decision. Might be interesting to hear it. Not that I really mind, I'll be going regardless. We are DEFINITELY spoiled here in Toronto, I think we DO complain a little too much. Think about the number of TOP TEN DJs who roll through here on a consistent basis, and the number of people who get to see them , and the consistently LOW number of incidents at the club... this isn't too bad people.

I can't wait, I think I'll be a Friday-Sickie too!

Wooooohooooo!

Posted by Endlesswave on May-14-2004 01:43:

Last time he spun was in the KH yes but I said the time before that in 2001 in the main room @ Guv. He dropped For An Angel as an encore...

Posted by torontobarfly on May-14-2004 01:54:

people actually work on fridays??

all complaining aside this is a killer year for dj talent coming to toronto....i just checked out the master list for upcoming events and my head is spinning from all the great parties coming up

Posted by djshan on May-14-2004 03:02:

fuk man, i have to force myslef to go to both events... even tho i dont believe in god, i pray that only the tiesto and pvd and all trance (electronica) fans show up and not the extra garbage people, i just pray there will be enough room and i hope this doesnt turn out to tbe the ferry corsten night.

I keep hearing how bad it was for Ferry in March...I wasn't there because I've seen him twice and want to give it a rest for a bit. The worst experience I had was Labour of Love 2002 when Bad Boy Bill was on stage....that was horrible. Was Ferry comparable to that?

I'll be going probably...but I might just have to forget shoving my way to the front this time. I love to see my man Tiesto up close but getting killed isn't worth it.

Posted by starsearcher on May-14-2004 13:09:

Everyone keeps bitcing about the Ferry night...but I think there are about 10 TA's here that found it incredible and amazing (me included) First of all it was one of the best sets that Ferry played. Second of all he went on FOR HOURS and closed off the night just cause he enjoyed himself so much. Third some of the TA's got to meet him and he as usual was incredibly nice to us. Fourth of all it was not more packed than any other major event at the guvernment.

I guess some of you just had a bad night like we all do sometimes. I'm very happy that Ferry's popularity is growing and evidently he loves comming and playing here.

And to all the bitching and complaining about KH vs the main room ---> Every time I was at the KH to see Tiesto or PVD the scene wasn't much better...it was just as packed in fron of the stage as in the main room...just the difference now is that not as many people will actually get in...
Another thing is that now the PATIO will be open so if you really need to get out and get some fresh air you will be able to do that as well.

TICKETS BOUGHT FOR BOTH THE EVENTS....though I gotta be at work at 9....cannot miss this one!!

Posted by TheVrk on May-14-2004 16:05:

not bad i guess.....

true the guv's lights are waaaaaaaay ahead,
but room will be sparse of course....

either way i'm there
