WTF? Really? Goddamn.......

Tell us how you really feel Neil!

Man-beast hairy arms...troll?

Neil is right. Oakie walked out on us in the middle of his set. He said he just wasn't into it. No apology to the crowd...no explanation...not even a damn thank you. He exited to the side room to hang out with some groupies and let some DJ from Chicago that spun old school (disco sounding) breaks close for him. People stood there like WTF? Total disrespect. He spun for about two hours and right when it started to peak...he walked off. Not that he ever had my respect, but he completely lost it right then. I saw him days later at Ultra and I just couldn't get into his set because I was still feeling bitter.

Damon, the owner has made some suspect and quite frankly poor decisions,i.e. letting markus go, which has alot of us at ta upset. And they do let too many people up in that bitch, and there could be more places to sit. But on the sound system I would have to totally disagree with u, its the best ive ever heard, amazingly crisp and clear for how loud it is, and theres no place like the terrace to hang after the main act in the main room is done. and personnally some of the best sets of my life, and times for that matter, have been at club space for me, i would be really disappointed if that place shut down, there is no place in miami better to see an international dj like tiesto, pvd, ferry, etc than space. nowhere, at least not yet or that i know of. imho

I have seen him live, and yes, it is one of the reasons he is still in my top five and always will be, unless he fucks up majorly.

This is the most hostile thread I have ever been part of, you all need to relax with the Oakenfold bullshit, he still owns, everyone slips.

He owned from '99-'00. No denying that. Now, he owns NADA. Nothing. ZIP. ZILCH. I was bored as fuck listening to his set @ ULTRA.

Everyone slips, but not everyone walks out on a room full of people. My brother was a HUGE Oakenfold fan before that night. He couldn't believe he did that...none of us could. It wasn't like he left the club because he didn't. He was in a room off to the side hanging out and was still there after the club closed. If you are going to walk off in the middle of your set you owe people an explanation...especially the owner. I didn't go there to see a breakbeat DJ from Chicago spin an old school set. Oakie was a huge reason why I got into trance back in the 90's, but that was the 90's. I used to love Oakie, but you could never compare him (today) to Ferry Corsten in my eyes. You have to kick Ferry and Tiesto off the tables. Hell, you even have to kick Sasha off. What DJ in their right mind would want anyone to walk away from one of their shows thinking WTF? If I was a big named DJ and someone paid me top dollar to come to their town and spin...days before WMC...I would put my heart into it. I personally would want to leave a positive lasting impression. If I really didn't feel like spinning I would take one minute of my time and tell the crowd that I was sorry...not just walk off mid song and let someone else close my set. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I am not sitting here saying that he is a shit DJ that doesn't know how to spin. I'm saying he showed zero respect for 1000 people here in Tampa and that cannot be argued.

OUCH. It's Oakenfold's primadonna thing, as some people have come to call it by. He thinks he's the shit and has allowed it to get to his head, so I guess that's why he reckons he can abandon a set like that. That's a distasteful thing to do, for lack of a better word.

I only got into this scene in '99, Amber, and Sasha was the beginning of it all for me. Wipeout 3 for PlayStation 1.

After Sasha, Paul van Dyk, then Oakenfold, Tisto, Armin, Ferry...

Staying on topic, Tisto on 6/18, I'm there! (Provided I'm still working, of course... )
