-- Dear Michael Woods,
Pages (3): « 1 [2] 3 »
to sum up what I've learned in this thread:
if you don't like it, it's cheesy, and everyone else's opinion is wrong.
grow the fuck up people.

well this was a decent thread that turned wank. lee grow up mate he was asking a sensible question and u just came in here and took the piss. and btw yeah nu-nrg do have a slight cheese element to the melodies and synths they use

| Ok, you're obviously ignorant. I said his chillout productions and remixes. |

| nu-nrg- now what do u thing by just looking at this band's great name, are their productions cheesey or not?!? |
*makes whipping noise*
*makes a cough sound* *cough you are a retard cough*
sandstorm, shut the hell up for TAs sake... your the simple image that screw this site up.
Nu Nrg have done heaps of cheesy stuff, their remix of Believe for one, Butterfly for another.. yet i'm going to get another stupid defending comment from you so no bother going on.
you shut the hell up, you still cant answer my question...

Now what question was that, maybe the fact that people might not have seen this question is avoiding losing their IQ by reading your post.
how are they cheesy?...ill agree with you on believe...but its only a remix of a shit track.
Ok Butterfly, the synths were way too happy for a non cheesy song. Now if you say that wasn't cheesy, then Michael Wood is euphoric trance compared to it.
At some point i agree that Michael Woods has been using a commercialised element but again, go check his Accadia alias and his chillout tracks.. and stop saying stupid stuff against stuff you haven't heard.
lol,

QOTY
non cheesy song as you said it.. not me. The syths were in the happy category for a so called "non cheesy song"
I'm yet to hear a proper reply from you about why Michael Woods is cheesy.
your right trance shouldnt be happy.
Did he remix Ian Van Dahl?
A1 Try (Michael Woods Remix)
I feel m1 - heven scent is cheezy, but i still like it.
Michael Woods/Warrior - If U Want Me is also a bit cheezy.
so what that he remixes Ian Van Dahl, he did a great job on it. Alphazone even remixed it and made it awesome. Go listen to it fool.
Lange has remixed Ian Van Dahl, so has Push.. nearly every god damn artist has remixes a so called "cheese" artist.
M1 - Heavens Scent was told to be a remake, not even his song.

ok so are we classifing artists as cheese because of 1 song they have done. If that is the case I would love to make a list with artists, with more then 1 cheese tracks, and michael woods would fit into that catigory.
go ahead
ok before i do, would you say m1 - heaven scent and warrior - if you want me are cheese or not?
You are heaven sen.
You are heaven sent
You must be heaven sent
Heaven sent, darling you were meant
To stay with me, to fulfill my fantasy
Hypnotise, look into these eyes
Moving through, gliding like a butterfly
Heaven sent, darling you were meant
To stay with me, to fulfill my fantasy
Hypnotise, look into these eyes
Moving through, gliding like a butterfly
Heaven sent, darling you were meant
To stay with me, to fulfill my fantasy

Moving through, gliding like a butterfly
You are heaven sent..
You are heaven sent..
You must be heaven sent..
and a remix of bedrock - heaven sent?...*sighs*
heaven scent i didn't like at all, it wasn't cheesy.. just not my style.
If You Want Me (VOCAL MIX) was yes... Instrumental mix was absolute uplifting trance.
sandstorm realizes that he's lost this argument but he's too stubborn to admit it
just concede and walk away
you know why i don't like Nu-NRG? Let me explain:
Their sound is the embodiment of what, in my opinion, has reduced the quality of electronic dance music over the last couple of years. Their stupid, over-exaggerated uplifting melodies add nothing to the genre, and yet people like it because its got a big synth sound. They pay no attention to the traditional elements of ryhthm and instead focus on these melodies typed into a computer by someone with seemingly no musical expertise or compositional knowledge. Anyone that makes such a tune and believes themselves to be talented is only fooling themselves...
waits for the angry mobs hehe
wow someone actually posted a good opinion on TA. It seems that you should question every single trance artist in that case.
in my opinion the difference between EDM is the use of melody, and rhythm. Trance is melodic, with a background rhythm, and Techno is rhythm, with less melody. House is a mix of both, d & b is 100% rhythm.
