-- my Pioneer HDJ-1000s finally broke :(
Pages (2): « 1 [2]
sennheiser HD25 are a piece of really durable headphones...
I have friends that have broken both the hdj-1000 and the MDRV-700 but I've never heard of anyone actually that has a pair of broken hd25
just to get an idea of how much they can take, when I was at a dj & producer convent here in sweden I stopped by the sennheiser booth just to check with the guy there how much the hd25 really can take...
the first thing he did was bending them straight upwards untill they got the shape of a U, after that bend...not a scratch, no signs of being bent or hurt in anyway
they can take right about anything you can imagine doing with them
I know plenty of people with broken hd 25s.
Cord is very poor and fragile (and not coiled- retarded
) and the drivers can blow after a while-hence why all sennheiser parts are available as service parts.
No more reliable than any other pair to be honest.
I get a new pair of headphones every year anyway- 3 working pairs and counting (hd 25 hdj1000 and mdrv700s)

I've never played out in mine, and all of a sudden while doing a demo at the house like the others, the left started going out. It turns out it was the cord that now has loose connections on both ends. The cords are replaceable, so I'll check into getting a new one. Other than that, the sound quality is great. By the way they are just under a year old. Seems like all DJ headphones will break no matter what anyone says, because we all treat them differntly and are all stressed in different ways, you can't just say a certain model (except for Sony MDR 700 of course
} will always break people.
hmm.. besides the obvious problems, are the pioneers good cans otherwise? As in, comfort, sound quality, sound blocking, etc. How do they stack up comapred to others?
Hey, thanks for that mix real quick while I've got your ear. I haven't listened to it all the way through yet but what I've previewed, I like. Transitions are nice from what I've heard.

Sound blocking is really nice as well. But as far as sound quality, the only comparo I can make is to my MDR-V500's and it spanks those.
yeah i sent them out today..pioneer claims that they will replace them for free. let's see how that works out.
yes the jack has been known to get a little loose and make one cup go out. but my problem was that it was just dead.
DAMN my luck is just NOT GOOD. today my car breaks. the engine is goin crazy and now i have to take a bus to work and get that shit fixed, God knows where, i don't know crap about cars
so i'm carless and i can't dj
i don't know what i'm gonna do.
