nice opinions on the album, here....
Well, I'm looking forward to the new Sasha album. Xpander is genius, and add was really good, albeit less danceable.
I also heard that Tiesto's new album was a disappointment. I might hold my $15 for Sasha's album instead of getting Just Be...

sandstorm: stop turning every fucking thread into a pvd-thread!
the cover is cool! and sasha looks good in the photo too
The problem with the Paul Van Dyk Vs. Sasha argument is that they are two completely different types of djs now.Sasha used to spin tracks similar to PVD back in the day-even used PVD productions but Sasha evolved while PVD has been basicly playing the same style of trance for a long period of time.Sasha uses tribal, progressive house, and deep trance rather than hard trance/tech-trance/melodic trance whatever u wanna call it like Pvd does.If PVD actually evolved maybe there would be a better comparison.
I'm personally a lot into artists who evolve their sound over time but you can still tell it's them -- but there's something to be said for the longevity of "AC/DC Syndrome" and staying the same for many years. Or, closer to my heart, what Donald Trump is doing... he's like such a perfectly preserved specimen of the excess of the 80s.
My feeling is, these DJs are just doing what works for them. Which they should, anyway -- I mean, it's their right to personal self-expression, isn't it? Clearly Sasha and PvD have both have enormous success, so all the power to them for that. To be fair to PvD though, he has been addressing some things like social issues more consciously as of late. Perhaps more subtle, but I expect human beings to grow as they learn.
Both Sasha and PvD have benefited from their friendships with people like Brian Transeau which have helped them to gain additional insight into the world around them, which is just awesome.
