I'm going to this event, since it's in my neck of the woods. Never seen ATB live before, so this will be interesting.

Sell out this sell out that....
BT is a very good producer. Just because someone ventures out to another genre or works on sometihng of the basis of commercialism doesn't mean their "selling out".
Honestly every artists want's their music to be heard by a broad audience. He saw it fit that this was a way to do it, and did it. Doesn't make him more or less of a producer or ala the "sellout".
This not only goes for BT, it's for any artist, in any music.

BT, like Moby, is an artist full of contradictions.
Porky, I'm sure if you asked BT how he differentiates between those, that he'd sit down and give you a really well thought-out explanation
. He's not the type to slam something without having a better reason behind it, unlike some artists. While I don't agree with his choice of language, the written word can likely be interpreted differently from how he actually said it. And I don't like dissing music I don't care for either, because someone else out there likes it and music is a luxurious commodity and a sign of a civilization, so I try to be civilized.
Hey, let's face it -- there's a lot of envy and jealousy in the world. The people who cry "sell out" often have empty pockets and they're just blabbering on with b.s. to try to cover up their shameful insecurities and their sad little lives. I prefer a more productive approach as opposed to raining on someone's parade and detracting from their success. I'm a big enough man to realize that.
Maybe someday BT and ATB will collaborate on a project called ATBT!!! They'll dress in classic raver outfits with parachute pants and the hippest sunglasswear and prance around with arched legs!
(it could happen . . .)
just an idea for a photoshop:
Fox mulder has his poster of "i want to believe" with a UFO in the poster.
for the ATB fans, a poster of ATB's album cover with "i want to listen"
