i really like cd2 of 'resolutions', i read one review and said it was completely different but i would still like to hear it and see this guy

Like I was trying to tell you the other night (not sure how well you could hear me over the music and between my slurrings ), the first CD of Balance 6 is pretty much straight up prog-breaks (which aren't really my scene, but it's good if you like that sort of thing) and the second CD is more straight up Pappa - darker, harder prog stuff. If you liked Resolutions (which I agree, was a good compilation) you should like at least the second CD of this Balance comp (check out Kasey Taylor's one as well, cos it's got a pretty similar sound).

And yeah, this'll be a good night - I should be there with bells on. Amazingly this is the first time I've been able to catch Pappa (he has a habit of coming out at inconvenient times :-/) so I'm really looking forward to this. Strong supporting line-up too.

yea the second disks is the best IMO, not a big fan of the first one.

Hopefully he plays like the 2nd disc.

i definitely wouldn't expect pappa to be playing anything like the first cd on the night. 2nd cd straight up is more his style. expect something pretty well rounded, dark prog house to some tech goodness nearing the end of the night. his fsol remix. not too bad at all.

may pop by. also wouldn't mind checking out ivan gough mix heh.
he's one helluva producer if you ask me.

WOW! one of the best prog. sets Ive heard in a long time. Anthony Pappa absolutely ripped it up at Sweetchilli and boy was it a night to remember. Arrived not expecting to have a big night (but who the hell was I trying to kid).

Began with Trent Anthony playing a really nice warm up set , which got the crowd moving. Rob Lowe then took over and before you know it the dance floor was jammed. Ended with some awesome funky tune that had the crowd in total histerics.

Then Anthony Pappa! wasn't really expecting that much as I said, however as we all know they are the nights which always end up being the best. His set was extremely diverse and was playing alot of Tribal/tech/melodic sounds which had the crowd guessing throughout. Started off really well with some subtle tribal beats and then dropped James talk - Eggs are cute, which sent the crowd into a frenzy. Continued steadily and I think it was about an hour into his set when Tonedepth - Broken was played (some tribal remix, not to sure which one) had all of Susie Q's with their hands in the air. Other highlights included

Infusion - Girls can be so cruel
Filterheadz - Yimanya
Lo-step - Burma

Big ups to all the ta's in attendance Hugo, Lis, Matt, Mark, Faz, Muli (Happy Bday my off chops buddy!lol), Tony and the rest of the crew. See you all at Sean Quinn!

Absolutely awsome night. I can't say much more, it was just brilliant. Pappa played on of the best straight out prog sets I've heard for a long time! Mixing was absolutely perfect, and tracks were insane!
Cheers to everyone there. I know you all had a fkn mad night!

Dynamix also played wikkid till close. I know most of you weak basturds left, but his set was sweet. Some old prog from Northenr Exposure series etc. I think his last track was Buck Fifty - Worst Enemy. Or maybe 2nd last i cant remember.

THanks to Sweetchilli, its the first straight out Sweetchilli night I've been to, and I shall be back for many more (nxt Sean Quinn, Dekay mmmm)

Hope you and Lis got home ok Sid.

AWESOME set! i was blown away!!

ANd man he has some skills, pulling off some wicked tricks. It was great being able to watch him, even some scratching which is rare in a prog set awesome tricks with girls can be cruel!

And yea had a top birfday

Had a pretty good night all up. i thought pappa played really well but it didnt seem to really change the tempo that much for about 2 hours so i got a bit over it. Still those bassline cant be missed and they had me moving most of the night.

Good to hear you had a great night muli. Vibe was awsome in that place.

and yes matty we got home fine although i woke up the next day feeling really sick luckily it only lasted for a day so im better now
