A friend of mine was DJing with mark spoon (i think it's him) in germany. He got so fuckd on the drink he went down to the hotel naked asking for pornos. He got kicked out. Anyway later on when they were in the club the guy couldn't mix worth a f$^%, he ripped the tone arms off the decks and threw a turntable into the crowd.
I've seen johan Gielen throw a few strops aswell lol.

| Originally posted by Sand Leaper Yeh heard that as well. The guy had a t-shirt on that said "Jules can't mix" and kept pestering Jules relentlessly, so in the end Jules got so pissed that he punched him in the face. He made a public apology later I think. |
Haha this thread is really interesting. I think Jules's punch was kind of justified... Tiesto's deal was just really arrogant.
Not really storming off stage... but I remember a story about the KLF. The duo were playing in a Dutch club before they were big and half-way through their performance they decided to start selling the equipment to the crowd, before destroying one of the turntables. They were banned from the club, surprisingly enough.
Yeah well i guess if the other dj just asked if he was all done, things wouldn't have happened the way they did
I'd be pissed too if i was giving the crowd what it wants and all of a sudden another "lesser" dj starts unplugging my headphones. No offense to the other dj, but when Tiesto is playing at a club and he spins longer than he was planning to, you should let him do his job imo. That's giving people more than what they came for
And at least he threw his headphones in the crowd, as a way to say goodbye. What else did you expect? I don't get it
I witnessed George Acosta storm off midway through his first track. Later we found out it was because he was so pissed at how shitty the sound was and he would just not stand for it. 4 other headliners at this same party didn't show so that should give you an idea of how shitty everything was. It all my years of partying, that party goes down as the worst disaster. Everything went wrong.
One other time, PVD almost walked off because the decks were not high enough for him. People were freakin out all over the place to find some blocks to boost it up which they eventually found and he started his set late.

I heard Armin Van Buuren broke a nail and threw a hissy fit once while transitioning from Super 8 - Alba to Solid Globe - Sahara.
