there was an episode of "Batman the Animated Adventures", which featured a villian who used a camo cloak to steal stuff. brings me way back!

Them vids are over a year old and that invis thingy was done using camera trickery including mirrors cba to chase the geniune info behind it all but still impressive none the less.

LMFAO @ both of you

BTW about the mirror thing strangely enough if they weren't careful it might. Kinda in the same way as if you put a mic to a speaker by which the mic is amplified and sent through.

I think that an optimistic comment like that is out of sight due to the fact that we are going to destroy ourselves

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

that's why I'm leaving this world, soon, soon...

kind of close but when Sony released their new video camera (not sure how long ago, pretty recent I think) you were able to see through people's clothes becuase it used some kind of ifra-red technology and they had to remove it from the stores etc.

Metal Gear Solid 2

Posted by Perfect_Cheezit on Jun-15-2004 07:46:

pretty impractical, since you need a high-def digital camera, the cloak, and a computer all hooked up togehter in synch just so you can see whats behind the guy

Posted by tu_face on Jun-15-2004 11:12:

but they could easily install it in cars n shit, like in the bond films

I think we were/are all pretty impressed by this.

But....

The technology works on the basis that it takes an image of whats directly behind it and projects it to the front.

Quote from the bbc site... "Professor Tachi's cloak works by projecting an image onto itself of what is behind the wearer. "

So....

See if anyone else notices anything strange about one of their other promotional videos on their site.

I hate Economics!!! Fucking ECON! GAH!!
WHY IS UNIVERSITY SOO HARD??? WHY???????????????

um..........what was see thrue people's clothes thing again??? Is there a link to that? 'coz...ahem...that has POTENTIAL!!!

Bingo!

If it's supposed to project what is exactly behind the object. Shouldn't we be able to see his face?

So unless somebody had mis-informed us on what this actually does and how it works I would take this as slightly suspicious.

And if you look at the x-ray type vid, that just looks silly! How the hell can you see his bones?

He seems to be standing way to still for my liking. And when he's holding the paper you can't see the bones of his fingers behind the paper! V suspicious me thinks.
