I enjoyed sum of the album. thought the first three tracks were ok. disliked Phoenix, Action radar, hotride, The collab with Oasis not my cup of tea. enjoyed Memphis bells medusas path, The Way it is. lol , i actually the thought the "album filler" track, under my wheels was one of the better tracks on the album.
not worth the wait imo.
*Goes and Listens to "Breathe"
mediocre at best
nothing compared to jilted generation or fat of the land
I heard that the album is a result of new inspiration for producing music that came from the excitement and love for the program Reason...thought that was interesting. I guess most of the music was made using Reason???
Just heard Girls a few days ago and I really dig it, the sound is a cross between the Chemical Brothers, Beastie Boys & some Basement Jaxx. And I like how the track suddenly pitches up withount the bass, then returns to the sweet funkyness and the vocals. I Look forward to hearing the rest of the albulm.

!!!
I donno-- I'm only liking Spitfire and Girls... it was a good effort by Prodigy, I guess I just sorta expected more.
It's really cool to hear how Liam describes the tracks, in his own words. Insightfully fun!
Oh im sorry this album is rockin!!!!!!!!!
Girls is masterley produced, reminds me a little of aphex twin with the distorted guitar, lovley!!!
Definatly Liam's album, so what are kieth and mazim gonna do? dance like leory did?????lol
Well they had no problem performing other Prodigy tracks they didn't do vocals on... Maxim can always MC to anything.
One of the keys is going to be how they perform LIVE versions of these tracks... no doubt Prodigy has a reputation for exciting live PA, so I wouldn't put it past them.
Definately the least album of the four, not much progression since The Fat Of The Land. When Liam told he was going 'back to the beats' with this album, I was quite optimistic about how it would sound, but now it disappoints me a little. Not that it is a bad album, but I expected more from The Prodigy after a seven year break. Guess I'm still not liking the rock-direction The Prodigy took after Music For The Jilted Generation...
Fav tracks: Spitfire, Girls, Memphis Bells, You'll Be Under My Wheels.
Overall rating: 7 out of 10.
as long as it sounds nothing like "babies got a temper" i'm going to love this.
oh it deosn't... the this is it, which samples micheal jackos thriller is quality!!!!!!!
doesn't compare to Music for the Jilted Generation, not digging this new style/direction that they are going with
"Baby's Got A Temper" was finely crafted, no doubt about it -- main prob with it was the fact it sounded like something that could be on FOTL, but 5 years after! People will say Keith's vocals really grate on it and point to the Firestarter sample as annoying, but I thought the latter was cute and that as an instrumental, it really bulldozes powerfully through the system.
BTW, not a Michael Jackson sample... it's a "recreation" according to the folks at the NEKOSITE based on what Liam said himself
But yup, along the same lines.
