You forgot armin, there known as the FATAL FOUR and will probably be the top 4 in the next dj mag poll.

I like Tiesto Ferry and PVD , I enjoy Their music, my fav is Tiesto, but I listen also other djs , Gabriel & Dresden , Misja Heelslot Blank & Jones John Askew and Picotto and moree more ...

I can;t understand people who say that they listen only one dj , rest of dj's world are shit etc

I agree they are fucking overated...there are a thousand dj out there such as matt hardwick that are at least as good

NOW most producers are better than those especially PVD. Ferry has the ideas still and so has Tiesto.

lol, better productions from that are a matter of opinion. If I was going to name good trance producers, none of thoes 3 would be in my top 20. What has Ronski & mirco produced recently that is sooooooo goooooooooood? O i forgot E.O.S. is a masterpiece, and Follow you? please...

But none of them can even remotely compair to pauls djing skills. you lose.

They've been on top for so long is one of the reasons ppl are always talking about them. Also, they been really pushing the trance song for a long time. They have been able to change as trance changes and still keep a large number of fans. Beyond all of what I just said. A lot of ppl think it's cool to like or talk about these producers. Just as what ever sound is being played by top djs is what a lot of ppl will think is cool even if it does suck.

i dont know about that. i bash my fav djs for playing/produceing shit.

But in all honesty, there is not a better trance dj/producer combo then armin, ferry, paul, & tiesto. End of story.

In a few years who knows...

didnt read the whole thread, but heres my answer. pvd/ferry/avb have the instant upper hand over any other DJ/producer purely for the fact that they have created a name for themselves a few years ago, and since then havnt really made any shit tracks, but instead either made good tracks or tracks that are of an ok standard, which sumhow deserves maximum publicity and respect [im still trying to work this one ou myself]. and one thing i can spot a mile off with avb whores and all the other whores out there, is that they'll bum anything that has the pvd/armin/or whatever brand name on the end of any track. theyll lap it up and disregard anything but praise for whatever track in question.

jay, i understand your argument 100%, but there is simply no one better. None of these new djs have their own style. There are a million armin, pvd & tiesto replicas. Look in the Am forums. Some kids name their sets after asot, and stuff like that. Untill someone comes up with a unique stlye for trance, they will not surpass the top four.

For example, Zabiela, is braking through in progressive/house with his unique mixing skills.

You've hit the nail on the head with the hammer there. Every body copies theses three. People know that theses three people are the ones that made trance big and a lot of Djs simply rip of their individual styles. Theres a bit of authenticity when people hear tracks made by these three.

+ I saw tiesto and PVD perform at ultra 6 and in my opinion, they were a lot better than everyone else who was there.

People like them, big deal. Get over it. No one can't change the mind of anyone on this forum, much less stop a jumping screaming crowd cheering for tiesto.

Obviously they've been doing something right and they deserve praise for the good stuff they've produced. Lets not forget what an impact Paul van dyke's binary finary remix or tiesto's traffic had on the trance nation. Tracks like those make people go, "wow! these guys are good! so, now i know where to go if i want to hear something good."

It's called having a fricking reputation.

Are you all saying that none of these producers come CLOSE to being as good as PVD/Tiesto/Armin/Ferry

Don't get me wrong, those 4 are great.. but even they have released utter CRAP!!!
