The thing is...what happens when personal issues and politics hurt peoPLe, the peoPLe are not given a straight answer and the peoPLe who are hurt the most are shut out?

This is the one and only post I will put on here...I have already said to much...I do not want to be seen as a person who holds nights to ransom on the net if I dont get a gig. I am not. 6 months with no straight answers got to me, that is all.

I just hope that the peoPLe in charge learn something from this whole debacle. And I hope all the DJ's are watching and take note.

Hey Jules...I really wish all this wasn't happening cos I do realise there are feelings involved... I find it distressful and I'm not even part of it. I just wanted to make the point that this thread isn't very constructive for the scene and its events.

Poor tubby has probably been put off spinning in clubs for life!

My Opinions:

Stipsy is a trancelord, he should be greatly respected by all of those in Melbourne who share an interest in trance. Altho you are too busy to ru na night yourself Stips, perhaps you could give the 5am crew some pointers as to what they could do to perhaps improve 5am. I think the 5am crew would be silly not to at least consider Stipsys advice.

All that aside, i think as long as there is an opportunity for people to have an event to go to and enjoy the music they love, minor details and politics shouldnt get in the way.

And Gumble, can i teach your cousin the meaning of PLUR?

Who is involved in 5AM? I understand its an event running team (I'm sure there's a better term than that), so who DJ's for them.. promotes for them... runs it?

I understand loulla is, and JPL (only leant that a couple of days ago), Albert Mangler (as in Mangler on these boards?).. anyone else?

browse thru a 5am thread - most of them only post in those

mmm....well

I have done nothing but support 5am. I have seen many things change in 12 months. I am known to generally stip things along and seems have done so away from TA. I agree it is not for public consumption but surely things get better with disscussion. Now I can't get a response from "5am" so how is this constuctive?

All that said I love what 5am tands for because without them I would have to go to bass station or hard kandy or somthing and and I am not about to do that. I just love watching Chris (its all about music), Steve (hugs), Mangler( love the dancing) etc play their styles really get to me and what they do behind decks makes my smile and contributes to the vibe (mabo) of the night.

Hope I am still welcome.
